Hi....and welcome to the Forum What Audi have you got? Cheers Trevor

Strange noise
HI Darren Hard to tell with the sound of the Diesel engine running but if it was DMF I don't think you would hear it on idle, only when accelerating/decelerating and on startup/shutdown. I would have a look at the clutch release bearing....does the noise disappear when you press the clutch in? Cheers Trevor

Newbie
Hi Dan...welcome to the Forum It's always a lovely feeling when you know you've got the right car....I always believe that you should try your hardest to find the best you can for your money but are allowed a couple of compromises (mine is usually interior colour, not too worried about that really). Good to have you onboard! Cheers Trevor

Clunking noise in Engine bay!
definitely sounds like CV joint but I would get it checked and replaced before it lets go...(loss of drive, potential of digging into the floor, etc)

Led Tail light for A6 2013
Hi Darren....welcome to the Forum I'm not sure of where else apart from eBay for a secondhand one that one would be available http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/272299411506?clk_rvr_id=1183846714725&vectorid=229508&lgeo=1&item=272299411506&rmvSB=true Could you see if you can break into it and replace the faulty LED? Cheers Trevor

Clunking noise in Engine bay!
I would definitely check the driveshaft first as this would defintely be the cheaper option.

Good to hear you've got some jobs sorted on the car...just a case of keeping on top of the other bits and pieces. You off to Le Mans this year Chris?

Clunking noise in Engine bay!
That certainly sounds like it's a heavy clunking noise and does sound like transmission/final drive lash. One area it may be is Constant Velocity Joint...worth checking this first

A3 Quattro S-line - RCL issue
Hi Chris Do you have another remote or is that the only one? Possibly needs another battery or the buttons are worn? Let us know what you find Cheers Trevor

Which hose is this...
Hi Simon Yep, that looks like it could be the cause. It is a oil breather hose which will go into the inlet somewhere along the line to be burnt in combustion. Once fixed/replaced, that should sort the error Cheers Trevor

Driver's side crash sensor and plug missing
Here is a link to some images for possible location of the sensor https://uk.images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=AwrBTvpcF8lY5RYABKtLBQx.;_ylu=X3oDMTEydnFtbDFsBGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDQjM0NThfMQRzZWMDc2M-?p=audi+a3+crash+sensor+location&fr=mcafee Also, I have seen some references to it being behind the headlamp in the engine bay...which would give you the right location for side/frontal impact sensing.

feels like it cuts out / hesitation
It could be turbo related as this is around the rev range that it should go onto boost. Maybe run some cleaning additives through the fuel and also through the turbo to eliminate it

Left dipped headlight
Hi...welcome to the Forum Sometimes the error can come up if the system registers a different resistance so maybe the LED lamps need different resistors/resistor pack to cure this. Let us know what you find Cheers Trevor

2006 A3 Clutch isue
Hi .... welcome to the Forum Firstly, it does sound like the working clearance has been reduced over time (usually pressure of a foot resting on the clutch pedal) which has destroyed the release bearing and this is why it is screaming/rattling. The clunking could also be the flywheel on its way out but you won't know until you get in there. Rule of thumb is as everything sounds like it's worn/damaged, it is advisable to replace it all while you're in there as it is a false economy not to. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

Good question, sorry for late response but I think you'll need to wind them in a clockwise direction. The trick is to clamp the hose and release the fluid in the caliper to allow the piston to retract with no pressure behind it. This practice also allows the old fluid to be expelled and also doesn't send the pressure up the system which can flip the seals in the master cylinder and also damage the ABS modulator. Safe practice and path of less resistance!

Blowers not working A3 2012
Is the blower fan speed low...does it work on high speed only with none of the other speeds working?

P.A.S reservoir. Where does it hide on 2006, 1.6 A3.
Hi Gareth I believe the car has Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) which means there is no reservoir See if there is a EPAS (big) fuse for it in the fusebox Cheers Trevor

Fiona
Hi Fiona....welcome to the Forum These are issues which do occur and luckily you have had them sorted under warranty. However, if you can extend the warranty, this may be prudent just in case of any other expensive failures. Trevor
