Damage to the underside of my Bumper?
Hi Josh....welcome to the Forum I wouldn't worry about it just yet as chances are you will scuff it again at some point in time. I think if you are going to sell it any time then maybe replace the valence part as it should be separate to the painted bumper. Cheers Trevor

A3 sportback vs Golf
Hi Paul...welcome to the Forum I would say the Audi has the edge over the VW for better residual value over time but apart from that I can't think of much else to be honest Let us know what you decide and how you got to the decision. Cheers Trevor

Warm start 'issue'
It doesn't sound like the starter motor if its turning the engine over (at a constant speed) or even the battery. However, if its turning over at a slower speed then it could be the battery, starter or even wiring at fault. Other areas to consider are fuel filter; loss of pressure within the filter head, immobiliser, etc May be worth running a scan on it if you cannot find anything wrong with the battery or starter. Keep us updated on this one Cheers Trevor

Tail light change
Hi...welcome to the Forum Here is a link to some units, they don't seem cheap for the LED ones though http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A3-S3-RS3/Rear-Light-Assemblies/44262 Would like to see a photo of what they look like when you change them, cheers Trevor

Stage 1 remap
There is an article on here about tuning by way of fitting a Tuning Box http://www.audiownersclub.com/news/reviews/club-reviews/product-reviews/electronic-engine-tuning-guide/ Only advice I can offer on any tuning mods is to ensure that the engine/transmission is healthy before upgrading power as this is when things start going wrong. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

A5 Wheel Spin/Full Lock Clunking Noise SOLVED!!
Hi Paul...welcome to the Forum Interesting conclusion to what must have been a really annoying (understatement!) problem. I have only ever experienced this before with cars that have been horrendously out of alignment on the front wheels where the tyres tend to drag and buck when on a hard lock and the power being applied. As FrenchAvant has stated, tyre pressures also could account for it in some respects, so worth seeing what the pressures are set to now and that may answer that question. Thanks for the feedback and letting us know so that we can enter it into our knowledgebase in case others experience this fault in the future. Cheers Trevor

narrower A7 tyres possible?
Hi Bill....welcome to the Forum I completely agree with what Magnet has said, there are several reasons not to alter the specifications set by the manufacturers for the car, in particular, safety and handling! I would however, discuss it with a reputable tyre company to gain further insight into the pros & cons. Keep us updated on this Cheers Trevor

Q7 suspension
Hi Ian...welcome to the Forum Can't really comment on this as personally never experienced the standard suspension but at an extra £2k plus it is a lot more but equally something that seems worth the cost if the reviews are stating that the ride is awesome. Go on...push the bank balance a bit further into the red :-) Let us know how you decide to go with this decision Cheers Trevor

New A5 Owner
Hi Chris...welcome to the Forum The A5 is a great car and so is the Alfa GT (we have one in the family)...glad you've sussed all the functions now, not an easy task! There is some info for MMi in the Tutorial and Technical information sections of this Forum but as a quick answer I would say that it is not the card at fault but with the formatting or the system not being activated yet Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

Audi adaptive light system fault
Hi and welcome to the Forum Wow, you do seem to have a few faults...including what looks like an engine management fault. The first place I would start is with checking the bulbs and connections, then move onto the fuses. Alternatively, there could be issues with the wiring but start with the simple stuff first. Also, make sure that the correct bulbs have been fitted in the first place as wrong bulbs can backfeed other ones in the system and bring up faults elsewhere. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

Advice Please
The A4 should give the performance and comfort but unfortunately not the same space but at least it's not as small as the A1 - have you seen the boot space on one? :-)

Advice Please
Hi Raza...welcome to the Forum The A6 is a beautiful car but I think you may find the move to an A4 quite a bit different but if it is more suitable for the type of driving that you do, then maybe it's the way to go. Keep us updated on the decision. Cheers Trevor

Losing power
Thanks for your input Brad-B5 it seems like a common fault that a lot of Audi's and other turbocharged cars suffer from the variable vanes gumming up with carbon and flagging up the fault in the ECU resulting in the car going into Limp Home. Sometimes, flushing through with proprietary cleaners helps but if gone too far then replacement turbo or cassette is required. Other areas to consider are also as already mentioned, boost leaks (intercooler, hoses) and also boost solenoids going faulty.

Buying Advice
Hi Anthony...welcome to the Forum I believe that Audi has now sorted their transmissions issues and are now quite reliable and efficient. I would, however, ensure that the servicing has been done correctly including transmission fluid and filter changes as this will ensure long life. Keep us updated on how it all goes with the purchase. Cheers Trevor
