New to Audi
Hi Joe....welcome to the Forum It's like any car really...the TT is a superb machine but it should have a full Service History with bills to prove it along with work been carried out by reputable repairers with genuine or quality parts being used. If thats all in place then it should be a genuine car and will serve you well for years to come. Worth checking the forum threads to research the 3.2 engine Keep us updated on how the purchase goes. Cheers Trevor

HI Lee...welcome to the Forum If it was me I would go for the 2011 A3 as lower miles, newer, better technology, etc....assuming its for the same money as the 2009 A3? Keep us updated on how the decision goes Cheers Trevor

2006 Q7 3.0TDI fuel economy?
Hi MrSweet The MPG does seem low for a Q7, however as Brad stated earlier, I think it will average out a little higher once everything has settled down. I recently put a DTUK Tuning Box on my Honda CRV CDTi and that improved the MPG by at least 10-12% which should pay for the cost of the box in no time at all. Here is a link to the review I wrote for it http://www.audiownersclub.com/news/reviews/club-reviews/product-reviews/electronic-engine-tuning-guide/ I think, in general anything you do to improve the efficiency of the engine (oil change, replacing filters, etc) will improved MPG Cheers Trevor

Q7 4.2
Hi Andy...welcome to the Forum I agree with Brad, the S4 is a beast... There are a few problem areas with the Q7 but worth looking through the posts to get a gist of what they suffer from. Hopefully some Q7 owners will interject with some info? Cheers Trevor

Adblue??
I heard of a Range Rover owner recently who wasn't told about putting AdBlue into the tank. As a result, the car stopped and wouldn't restart until reprogrammed by the dealers at huge cost. His argument was he wasn't told he needed to do this and that it was the dealers responsibility and won the case.

Turbo siren/whine.
I totally agree with Brad-B5 especially when it comes to loose/broken clips because when boost is pressurising in the hoses, etc it can emit a whistle so worth checking them. Diagnostics should tell you the boost pressure and if the turbo is not boosting as much as it should then it maybe a new one required. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

MPG Query
Hi....welcome to the Forum Also, welcome back to the world of Audi Generally, manufacturers stated claims are way off the mark and usually carried out in simulation. However, that said...if you were to drive at 55 mph constantly on a level road then you may achieve somewhere near their claims. In reality, the MPG you achieved is not too bad and should improve as everything settles down. Good to have you onboard and keep us updated with how the MPG improves. Cheers Trevor

Speedometer back illuminating light flicker
Bargain! that's certainly cheaper than Audi. Keep us updated on how this goes and would love to know some more about the rebuild if you can find some more info about what fails in the cluster from the rebuild company. Thanks Melissa :-)

Hi Karl...welcome to the Forum I believe the Black Edition has sportier suspension, better alloys and a few other extras to define it...definitely a great edition to have but let someone else take the hit on the depreciation. Post up a piccy of your Audi when you get it, if you like. Cheers Trevor

Audi S6 C4 AAN dUAL mASS fLYWHEEL
Hi Mark...welcome to the Forum It is always advised to replace the DMF at the same time as the clutch but it should be measured first to see if there is any excess play in it. Usually, they recommend a new DMF for every second clutch change regardless. Reason for replacement is that it is the labour costs of replacing it if it goes when it could be done with the clutch for no extra cost. Every case should be judged independantly and it may be that it was replaced previously and also how it has been driven in the past. Totally agree with Magnet on making sure and LUK is fitted as a replacement...I wouldn't fit anything else. Also, agree with Brad-B5 with getting several quotes for the job Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
