  1. Could it be an engine mount or gearbox mount?
  2. Non of my business but how have you managed to go on holiday during this pandemic? Don't you have a master key which can be inserted in a hidden lock? Or putting the key in the door? What exact a3 model do you have? Cheers Steve
  3. This video might help: And here's some pics you requested 🙂 Cheers Steve

  5. I'd contact the AA as they should be able to get in without causing damage. Cheers Steve
  6. My advice would be to contact the AA they should be able to get in without causing damage. Cheers Steve
  7. I'd be leaving the car with Audi for a few days for them to find the fault. Clearly one of the sensors has failed I suspect. If you reported it originally when the car was under warranty and Audi haven't found fault or fixed it then you might still be covered. Cheers Steve
  8. Looks fantastic 👍
  9. I'd replace the parts it advises have failed I've also read that a failing the most can cause the lambda sensor fault. And wiring issues can cause these faults. We're checking. Cheers Steve
  10. Steve Q

    amp fuse

should be fuse 34 (15A) in the fuse holder at the end of the dash. It will almost certainly be the amp itself that has partly failed due to the usual corrosion problem with the pins of one or more of the amplifier chips. Best thing u can do is strip the amp down and clean the legs of the chips, i would also install a plastic guard infromt of the amp to protect it from water coming in behind the passenger light. cheers Steve
  11. You're welcome. Might be worth you ringing the aa as they can often get doors open etc without causing damage.
  12. You're welcome, glad I could help 🙂

  14. How weird. Wondering if there's an issue with a coil pack or maf sensor? Cheers Steve
  15. Sounds good 👍
  16. My only other recommendation would be looking on eBay for used parts. Sorry if I'm telling you how to suck eggs as you work in the motor trade. Cheers Steve
  17. Sorry to hear of your issues. This video might help regarding the boot: Cheers Steve
  18. That's good then, keep us posted on how you get on 👍 Cheers Steve
  19. Yea using it for a bike rack shouldnt be too bad but I wonder if you could get questioned at mot time or if you get pulled by the police how ever likely that would be. I have to say it to air on the side of caution. Here's a Towbar guide that might be useful: https://autoevoke.com/index.php?/forums/topic/8998-types-of-tow-bars/&tab=comments#comment-9088 Cheers Steve
  20. I'd definitely be speaking to Audi regarding the engine issue to see if yours is affected before buying a turbo. I'd also recommend getting a second opinion from another garage for piece of mind before splashing out. Cheers Steve
  21. You certain it's not a wiring issue, poor/corroded connectors etc? Unusual for both rear light units to fail together I'd say. Cheers Steve
