  1. Could the car not be getting enough air into the engine, this meaning an issue with the MAF sensor? Or it could be an injector fault. I have heard of cases on this engine of two injectors shorting out thus the ECU shuts down the car. I also found this via googling: Summary TPI Account №: 2014766/5 3.0 liter / 2.7 liter TDI: sporadic malfunctions of the engine permits the publication date: 10-08-2009 Problem Description Client / Conclusion station The warning lamp lights up the engine and / or the engine stalls. Errors in the engine control unit: P0200 (nozzle - an electrical fault in the circuit) or P1195 (control valve fuel pressure open / short circuit to ground) or P1281 (fuel metering valve, a short to ground) or P1572 (valve left engine mounting -N144, short to ground) or P2009 (regulating valve intake manifold, a short to ground) or ... May be affected by all nodes connected to the corresponding branch harness: the fuel temperature sensor, glow plug control valve fuel pressure sensor, camshaft sensor, coolant temperature sensor, exhaust gas temperature, intake manifold flap, electro-pneumatic pressure transducer, high-pressure pump, terminal 50 starter switch reversing lamps, oil pressure sensor, the left support of the engine, generator, etc. kl.61 Technical Background 1. The engine wiring harness rubs against the arm of the fuel filter, causing electrical interference. 2. Engine harness rubs against the bracket 'bracket lifting motor', causing electrical interference. The figure shows a bracket on the left side under the coolant expansion tank - the right-hand side may also be affected -> same metal bracket. Fits in with what you say, when you toe it the engine will be moving more which may be causing a short between an injector harness wire and the chassis. Check the run of the harness from the engine back to the ECU. hope I've helped. cheers Steve
  2. Ok good question. Hypothetically I think it would as long as you can plug it in at the back. I'm not technically minded though. Cheers Steve

  8. You need to figure out want 3G options you want fitted, as there are 6 different versions of the main Audi Multimedia unit, radio module with and without DAB, you will need a new bose amp if bose if fitted, you will also need a new screen. Best place to buy parts would be eBay. to upgrade it to mmi 3g you need: Mmi 3g high resolution screen approx £70 New radio/AMP module with DAB. Audi no longer have a separate AMP for cars without Bose/B&O it's now part of the radio. Cost £160 Audi Multimedia this replaces the old control head/Nav/BT and AMI modules. The unit I picked up was a hard disk based version, but does not have the sim card slot. Cost of this was £170 Final module was a new CD-Changer with the 3G setup cost approx £80 Aerial Amplifiers DAB/TV Digital TV module AMI Cable Multimedia to screen cable V2 climate controls You also need to get the can-gateway software updated, for MMI 3G you need software version 0071 or 0080. hope I've helped. Cheers Steve

  11. Welcome to the forum, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 The clutch should not have burnt out at that mileage. I would advise you contact Audi customer relations/customer services to make a complaint. It might be worth you contacting the Motoring Ombudsman. Here's a link via what car: https://www.whatcar.com/advice/buying/the-motor-ombudsman-what-is-it-and-how-can-it-help-you/n1212 Think what car also take on cases which aren't being dealt with correctly so might be worth contacting them. Cheers Steve
