  1. Welcome to the forum Lyndon, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I would like to think that over the next 4 months the price will drop especially when we get towards the summer months. In terms of negotiatation I think this will depend on whether or not you are taking finance. However my experience is that the German manufacturers are less inclined to negotiate and reduce the price whereas I've found manufacturers such as Vauxhall are willing to negotiate. If you are taking finance then you are more likely to get a better price. I.e money off or more for your px. Obviously you've also got the scrappage scheme going on at the minute with Audi which could be worth considering depending on the value/age of your current car. Also you should find the Q5 models that are available from Audi approved used are better than those more private garages but obviously this is not always definite. But they will have full Audi service history, low miles and will.come with warranty. Hope I've helped :) Cheers Steve
  2. Welcome to the forum Bob, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Wow those bushes are expensive! The original a5 was based on the a4 b8 platform and I would not be surprised if the bushes fit. Cheers Steve
  3. The recall is for both the 1.6tdi and 2.0tdi engines and is a software update. Id be very careful about buying a vag car that's had the emissions recall carried out. Here are the threads that Gareth is referring too: https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/6813-problems-after-ea189-engine-emissions-update/ Cheers Steve
  4. I'm sorry to hear this Scott. My advice would be to speak to the Audi dealer in question to see if they have either done the emissions recall or software update. They will have this stored on their database. When I worked at volkswagen customers had to sign a document to say that the cars map was standard before the emissions recall would be carried out. However the software update is often classed as a recall and as such has to be carried out (safety items definitely) but you should have to option to decline the software update in my opinion. Keep us posted on how you get on. Cheers Steve
  5. Yay! I got an answer correct! :) It's very interesting Gareth, and I would never have thought the stripes we're linked to chassis colour! Feel free to post another one of these questions Gareth as they do get members involved :) Cheers Steve
  6. Glad you got an answer Alan :) does that mean you can't order your desired car or do you just have 12month wait? Cheers Steve
  7. Same here!! There will be alot of cars failing there MOTs! As well.as having HID bulbs when they weren't standard.
  8. Here's a link to show what digital radio stations are available in your area: http://www.ukdigitalradio.com/coverage/postcodesearch/ And here's a link to show you the transmitter locations: https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/dab Hope they're useful :) Cheers Steve
  9. I'll give you that Paul! It's the Bourne ultimatum. Here's a new one.
  10. Welcome to the forum Nathan, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I would normally say the issue is to do with the aerial or necessary wiring. However I'm unsure as your screen is freezing. Also it might be worth you taking it for an independent garage for a diagnostic check as £130 is very expensive! An independent garage would charge you around £60. It may not be useful but here's a link to a website that should help you with identifng the DAB stations available in your area: http://www.ukdigitalradio.com/coverage/postcodesearch/ And here's a link for the transmitter locations: https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/dab Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve

    Isofix

Glad you got sorted Dave :) Most cars since 2006 have isofix I believe :) Cheers Steve
  12. I agree it can be tricky. Have a look at this thread I did with a link to help acquire part numbers: Hope it's useful :) Cheers Steve
  13. Don't worry James, I didn't take offense at all :) glad you managed to get a good result. Are you planning on buying another Audi? Cheers Steve
  14. Looks a very nice a4 :) let me know when you've had a chance to check the tyres etc. Is the a4 handling normally? Cheers Steve
  15. Welcome to the forum Jamie, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I would imagine the length of DRL depends on the spec of your Q7. I'll Hazzard a guess and say it's a S Line model? Cheers Steve
  16. It's a odd one, but we're stripes used to help make the cars look clearer on early TV?
  17. Right, I have applied for a club display for this year's show. I'll let you all know once I have had confirmation back from the organisers. Once our application has been accepted our club name will be displayed for you to select from when buying tickets. I hope that makes sense. Cheers Steve
  18. Oh sorry, I missed that boy in your post. Yea it definitely will be a solution :) in terms of where to wire it into, is it worth splicing into the wiring for the light switch? I'm not great with wiring I'm affraid. When people are wiring in dash came they piggyback off the cigarette lighter wiring. Cheers Steve
