  1. Oh sorry, I missed that boy in your post. Yea it definitely will be a solution :) in terms of where to wire it into, is it worth splicing into the wiring for the light switch? I'm not great with wiring I'm affraid. When people are wiring in dash came they piggyback off the cigarette lighter wiring. Cheers Steve

  3. Welcome to the forum Lee, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) sorry this topic hasn't been responded to yet. I would have thought the a4 has a warning buzzer. I know my 2002 a6 does. It might be worth you getting this checked before investing in this universal kit. Cheers Steve
  4. They are very expressive Pat and to be honest S Line model is nice. Obviously certain options may have been chosen from.the ultra spec sheet on.certain s line models :) this is the fun of buying a German car as it can be individualised. Cheers Steve
  5. Welcome to the forum Mike, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) You are correct in saying the service history is now digital and the service history should be able to be provided by any Audi main dealer. This includes any warranty work or recall work that has been carried out. They may not provide you with exact details over the phone due to data protection.but they should be able to tell you if it's got full history and whether or not certain recalls have been carried out, such as the emissions recall. Cheers Steve
  6. You're welcome, sorry your touch hasn't been responded too earlier. Diesel definitely sounds more suitable to be honest. Yea, keep us posted :) I'd love to see pictures if the exhaust system fitted :) Cheers Steve

  8. Well with the autos make sure the gears changes are smooth both in manual and auto modes. And it's worth.checking the service history to see when the gearbox oil was last changed. Some of the a5 models had quattro and this is a great system but make sure it is working correctly. The system can be sensitive and can be damaged by things such as mis-matched tyres on the same axle or uneven tyre wear. Also check the service history to see when thebquattro system.last had an oil change. Also xenon headlights were an extra and it's worth making sure all the lights work as bulbs can be £180 each approx. Also there is currently a recall on certain a5 models due to a fire risk caused by the heating system. It's worth checking to see if this recall has been carried out. However you may find alot of a5 models are still waiting to be called for this recall. Cheers Steve
  9. Welcome to the forum Martin, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The exhaust will definitely have a better exhaust note and could increase bhp very slightly. If you were to combine the exhaust with a remap then you'd get better results. Ive heard Milltek are a good brand but can't say I've used their products myself. In terms of engines your best deciding which fuel suits you. Obviously if your doing 5-10 miles a day then diesel is no good so petrol would be better. But if you were doing 24+k miles a year then diesel would be the way to go. Cheers Steve
  10. Welcome to the forum Mukesh, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) What engine and gearbox option are you looking at and what age? Cheers Steve

  14. Welcome to the forum Andy, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) My first couple of questions are: Are the wheels standard? And is the car lowered? The first thing you could check is if the tyres/wheels are rubbing on either the wheel arch liner, inside of the wheel arch or rubbing on the suspension. Cheers Steve
  15. Hi Alan, This could be caused by a number of things. However when I had a similar issue with my a6 it was caused by the drivers door locking mechanism. According to the auto electrician which fixed my fault he said that on some Audi models the central locking system.is controlled by the drivers door mechanism and when this starts to fail it can cause faults with all the other doors. It cost me £120 to fix my faulty mechanism. Infailing that, it could be the central locking module. But to be sure a diagnostic check could help find the fault or an auto electrician as I used. Cheers Steve
  16. Here are pics of Eddy's a3, he is a fellow member and lives in the Nertherlands.
  17. Thanks :) I'm sorry to hear that. Which Facebook page wasn't very responsive? I hope it wasn't ours?! As I say we're a helpful buch on here and I think the 8p was on the most popular Audi models :) Cheers Steve
  18. Welcome to the forum Les, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Nice to see you've had an interesting collection of Audi's :) Cheers Steve
  19. Hmm a tough one. I have diesel but I do 20-24k miles a year. Depending on the percentage you do of each driving style then I'd question whether petrol would be better for you. Especially as it is still unclear on how far the government will go with regard to taxing diesels. I suspect the resale value will be better with the petrol. Cheers Steve
