Plenty of evidence to sort your case then :)
  2. Wow Trevor! Now that is a beaut! Shame about the miss matched wheels though!
  3. You're welcome, glad I could help :) And I certainly do! It's part of the family now! ;)

Thanks! :) Well in theory my a6 is on long life servicing but the oil gets changed yearly which is less than 20k :)
  5. Hi Bradley, a convertible would be perfect in this nice weather! With the a4 and similar aged vag cars the only rust to be concerned about are the front wings which can rust at the top of the arch. This is caused by a piece of foam which is fitted between the wing and wheel arch liner and over time absorbs moisture which causes the wings to rust. Here's a couple of YouTube video which may help: Cheers Steve
  6. My first port of call would be to get the battery tested as some electrical faults can be caused by a failing battery. If you haven't got the necessary equipment I know halfords can test it for you :) Cheers Steve
  7. I think it depends if keyless entry was ordered when new. From the sound of it, this is unlikely. As Tom has said this is good for security and let's face it we've been open cars with buttons for years now so pressing it is nother here nor there really.

Looks like a case of cloned plates. Has the garage got CCTV to prove your car was there? Or the garage will have to give a statement. Can you prove you were at work as well as that will help. Cheers Steve
  9. That's good to know for future reference :)
  10. I can appreciate it's frustrating and something that shouldn't really happen with the amount of testing the cars get nowadays. You could always take it to another Audi dealer to see what suggestions/ideas they have. I think unless they change the tank I'm unsure what else Audi can do. But they should at least offer this. Cheers Steve

  12. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. I do think a big problem is the poor driving standards within the UK. Mainly as people don't give a damn!
  13. Glad you found it :) was it the fuse at fault? Cheers Steve
  14. Hi Mark, Here's the thread I did for tyre pressure info. Hope it's useful :) Cheers Steve
  15. Not a problem, glad we could help :) looking forward to seeing some pics of your a6 :)
  16. Sorry to hear this Sue, but I know where youre coming from. The suspension as are expensive to replace. Ive had my lower ones replaced recently and the upper ones will be due soon. Oh and feel free to post a for sale ad on the forum :) Are you buying another Audi? Cheers Steve
  17. Most people who have a remap carried out would recommend one but I can't say I've personally done it. Obviously bhp and torque are increased but not always mpg. In theory it should as the new map should smoothen out the torque curve etc. Also the remap could be better improved if you combine it with uprated induction kits or exhausts. It's also key that the car is in good health before you carry out a remap as you will be putting more strain on the engine and potentially the gearbox if it's an auto. If you do have it done and you get called for the emissions recall then do r have the recall done as Audi will wipe your upgraded map. This also goes for software updates which Audi will often do if required when your car goes in for a service or other work. The reason why I've not had a remap is: 1. My a6 is on 328k 2. Despite the fact I could go from 150bhp to 180bhp with a remap the fuel pump my a6 has probably wouldn't be able to cope whereas later a6 models (2004-2005 c5) had a uprated fuel pump as standard. Hope I've helped :) Cheers Steve
  18. Hi Josh, Sorry to hear of your issue. When was the transfer box last replaced? who fitted it, and was it an Audi product? Cheers Steve
  19. Welcome to the forum Elias, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) You'll definitely see an improvement on acceleration and bhp compared to the 2.0 litre. The tech pack is a personal thing but I know it is very desirable and most that don't get it wish they had. 12 weeks is ages! I bet you'll be watching the build tracker like a hawk! Cheers Steve
  20. Hmm, well £30 is approx half a tank and it's what I do too. I think the sloshing is often caused by the shape of the fuel tank and I don't think there is much that can be done in my opinion. My other advice would be to take it to another Audi dealer to get there opinion on it. Cheers Steve
