  1. Your welcome :) its worth replacing the relay. But like you I'm unsure if there's a module. As long as the dpf isn't nearly full it should do the Bergen ok once fixed :) in terms of the egr and egr cooler, replacing them is an expensive job. You'd probs be looking in the region of £1000. When I worked at Volkswagen in the service department it was common of VWs to come with this problem. It was mainly the 1.6 and 2.0tdi which were common. Cheers steve
  2. Hello Matt, yes I do believe the dpf regent will not occur if the heater plugs have stopped working. Not sure if the egr problems are connected to the heater plugs not working though. But I would doubt it. Cheers steve
  3. Your welcome :) glad it's all sorted :)
  4. Welcome to the forum James :) youll find the members on here are a friendly bunch and will help you where they can :) i would suspect at 4 years old your car is due an air con regas or service. This should be done ever 2-3 years as the air con looses gas over time. A regas should cost around £35 and a full service should be around £60. On a full service they'll check for leaks and change the filter. cheers steve
  5. Glad you got sorted :) sorry it's not an Audi though, but I quite understand :) atleast with a brand new car you shouldn't have to worry about faults! But if you do get one it'll be under warranty ;) cheers steve
  6. Your welcome :) id love the weather more if my air con worked lol
  7. Welcome to the forum Alex :) youll find the members on here are a friendly bunch and will help you where they can :) min unsure on the dimensions of the brake discs myself but I would certainly say they are vented. Cheers steve
  8. If it were me I would use the recommended oil as per the handbook. I'm unsure if or what other oil you could use but I'm sure other members will be able to help :) cheers steve
  9. I'm with Gareth, I would certainly say your a4 has air con Brad :) May just need a regard or air con service. Regis should cost approx £30 and a full service should cost around £60. the worst case scenario for the air con not working is a failed pump/condenser. This is the problem with my a6 but iv been quoted approx £1000 to fix the system! In my case i know the air on doesn't work as the car puts econ on automatically and even when turned off it comes back on. Cheers steve
  10. Welcome to the forum Miguel :) youll find the members on here are a friendly bunch and will help you if you have any questions :) feel free to post a pic of your a4 when you get a chance :) cheers steve
  11. That's cool :) looks really good Dave :)
  12. Lol lets face it. The French cars are wacky! Oh just to mention. Fitting grooved or drilled discs could potentially increase your brake pad wear.
  13. Glad I could help :) btw iv moved this thread out of the recalls section to the a6 c6 section. Now that was back in the day! cars have got a lot more technical and complicated now! Cheers steve
  14. Looking good Dave :) nice to see a colour other than red :) cheers steve
  15. What if You get grooved or drilled discs of the same size as the standard discs? Cheers steve
  16. I don't think you'd have to change anything apart from the discs. As long as they are the same size as your cuttent ones :) if your going for discs are you changing to fast road pads too? Cheers steve
  17. Hi Yaz, i believe you can damage the engine by not having the idle pulley. Could you not call out a mobile mechanic to try and sort it? Cheers steve
  18. Your welcome :) unfortunately I'm not sure where you get the repair kits from but I assume any Audi specialists should be able o help :) cheers steve
  19. Welcome to the forum james :) Could this be to do with the swirl flaps? If so a repair kit will cost around £80 cheers steve
