  1. Hi Trevor, S the light is working but not unlocking the car, I'd say it needs reprogramming. cheers Steve
  2. Hi Matt, I'm glad there is no visible signs of damage and I've never heard a fuse making a bang noise to be honest. Here's some pics which should help you find the fusebox :) don't worry about being a novice, we all had to learn at some point :) the fact the lights are working normal make me wonder if it's a wiring issue, like a dodgy earth. With regard to your heated seats, do both seats only heat the back and not the base or is it just the driver's seat that doesn't heat the base? With regard to the temp gauge one of the first things I'd check is the thermostat. But more importantly with all the issues you're having I'd get a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up. Hope I've helped Cheers Steve
  3. That's a good result Bal, bet you're pleased :) An aux socket should be easy to fit as there should he a spare slot behind the standard radio :) Cheers Steve
  4. Agreed, I'd say that's not too bad when you consider the age of the TT. The TT has a cambelt which according to Audi should be changed at 80k or 5 years along with the water pump. However most owners change the cambelt and water pump at 60k or 5 years to be on the safe side. What mileage is the TT on? Cheers Steve
  5. £350 sounds very reasonable. When I worked at volkswagen in their service department we would charge £499 for the cambelt and water pump but could do it for £450. If they use genuine parts that's great :)
  6. Welcome to the forum Matt, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) First thing I'd recommend is ring around your local Audi dealers as they often have deals on for the cambelt and water pump. Some also do a fixed price for the service as well :) Cheers Steve
  7. They are very badly built I'll admit that! Yours looks great though :) Let's hope once the issues are sorted you'll have a lovely TT :)
  8. You're welcome :) I hope it works for you n:) Cheers Steve
  9. Welcome to the forum George, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) As with any car I'd check the service history to see how well maintained the car is. I'd also check to see if the cambelt and water pump has been changed as it will be due by now. Obviously make sure all electronic items work as well as the air con as some parts can be expensive to fix. If the car you're looking at has xenon headlights then make sure the lights are working as bulbs can cost approx £180 each. With regard to the gearbox make sure that there isn't any crunching when changing gears and all gear changes are smooth. If you are looking at an auto the make sure the gears change smoothly in both manual and automation modes as any faults can be expensive to fix. Here's a couple of YouTube videos which maybe useful: Also we have a thread on the forum called Audi's from around the world. We'd love to see pictures of your a3 in Cyprus! Here's the link to the thread: Hope I've helped :) Cheers Steve
  10. Steve Q replied to JonJ90's topic in Audi A3 (8P) Forum
Hi Jon, I use Bridgestone tyres in my a6 which seem to last well. My dad have continental tyres on his a3 8v which also lasted well. I'm sure other members will offer other options too :) Cheers Steve
  11. Here is a youtube video I've found if you need to put your Audi wipers in the service position. This is relevant for most modern Audi's. Hope it's useful :) Cheers Steve
  12. Hi Chris, I've found this YouTube video which may help :) Cheers Steve
  13. As the title says, I've found this website which should help c7 owners find their fuseboxes and what each fuse is for. http://knigaproavto.ru/shemy/en/audi/a6/28-audi-a6-c7-2012-fuse-box-diagram.html Hope it's useful :) Cheers Steve
  14. Lol 😁 Here's a new one.
  15. Hi Matt, I'm assuming there is no visible damage to your car in light of the bang you heard? As Audi want to charge you for a new light unit, I'm assuming they gave done a diagnostic check to confirm that it is the light unit at fault? If it is the light unit at fault then it will probably be worth you asking Audi if there is any factory good will (discount) that can be applied. The dealer will basically ask Audi the if any discount can be applied . I mention this as in my opinion a rear light unit shouldn't have failed within 5 years. I've also found this website that shows you where the fuseboxes are located and what the fuses are for your car. Here's the link: http://knigaproavto.ru/shemy/en/audi/a6/28-audi-a6-c7-2012-fuse-box-diagram.html Hope I've helped Cheers Steve
  16. Hey Steve, Here is a thread I did about the virtual cockpit: But you do raise an interesting question. Obviously the virtual cockpit is a very expensive option but I would assume it would be the same screen and features regardless if it it fitted to a S or RS Audi. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  17. Lol captain America. Can you believe I was going to ask you if it was a marvel film but I didn't because I've asked that on every single one you've posted lol 😂
  18. Hi John, I've found these 2 YouTube videos which may help. I'm unsure which MMI you have hence the 2 videos. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  19. Oo I may need that as I'm struggling on this one!!
  20. Hi Ken, Have you had the battery tested at all? I ask this because when a battery is failing it can cause all sorts of electrical faults can occur. If that's the case it would be worth replacing the battery. If the battery is fine then the next question that needs to be asked is why has your a4 gone flat? To answer this it might be worth you getting a diagnostic check carried out. It also might be worth you taking the car for a good drive to see if that resets the esp light and will give the battery some good charge. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers :) Steve
  21. Hey Dragos, I'm assuming you've changed the injectors that are said to be at fault? Have you tried the leads? Cheers Steve
  22. Hmm, is it a well known film?
  23. Oo looks very nice Sean and looks in good condition despite the eml.light :) Good man for being into proper land rovers :) my dad had a 90 and we loved it!! Ours was a 1996 CSW 300tdi in green. As seen in the pics :) We do miss having it.to be honest!
  24. oo haven't heard of that place, what's there? We went to the spa motor museum nearby when we were there. We were staying in Brussels so ended up traveling to yepres as well.
