Clutch Kit (LUK) Audi A4 B9 Avant 1.4 TFSI Clutch kit petrol

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have been unable to source a clutch kit (no flywheel) for an Audi A4 B9 Avant 1.4 TFSI Clutch kit petrol. LUK are out of stock, I have tried many suppliers of LUK unsuccessfully. I have emailed LUK, I have also set up notifications on stockist sites to contact me should stock come in. The original parts, which appear to be the only ones available, are considerably more expensive but may be an option I have to take as the car is becoming difficult to drive.

Can anyone help or offer some advise please?

Kind regards,

Sarah

try autodoc, they keep a huge stock of parts and lot of original audi parts,Greg

Thank you both.

I tried autodoc, but no stock. I've had an 'update' from LUK to say they'll have an update in April. I will wait until then to decide whether I proceed with the genuine parts, which are a substantially higher cost. Until then I don't do a lot of mileage so fingers crossed it's a positive outcome.

I've had a response from Schaeffler (LUK) to say 'it looks like stock won’t be available until the end of June'. I replied asking if the delay was due to logistics or low demand, as I was concerned it would be put back further, or the stock would go instantly and I would miss out. However, they just advised me to ring round stockists.

Hi had this problem with the A6, Audi own the patents for the clutches and literally have a stranglehold over LUK even though the clutches are produced in a vast factory system in eastern Europe and as with everything if you create a shortage it drives up prices, first clutch £1200 for parts, second clutch two and a half years later there was no availability for six months and had then gone up to £1900 for the parts, fortunately I never had to buy the second clutch but am really pleased with my Passat which when that needed a clutch it was how many do you want and came in at £750 inc parts labour and VAT.

Steve.

You may have to buy the bullet on OE stock, as there’s still no guarantee once June arrives given the state of the world and raw materials stuck in transit. Have you tried Darkside Developments here: https://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/genuine-audi-a4-a5-b9-1-4-tfsi-clutch-kit-with-release-bearing-oil-seals-and-bolts.html?

Have you tried ‘LLLParts’ online?

If you can’t find it in their parts catalogue, it’s worth dropping them an email. (Link is on their website.) they’ve always been very helpful.
