LED 4 circles
do wonder about the legality of this lamp as it is an additional white light at the front of the car and not illuminating as a pair of lamps.....maybe wrong as I remember the old Wolsely's used to have an illuminated radiator grille badge .... @Magnet may remember these?

Dash cam footage
makes for interesting viewing if nothing else, lol The problem with Dash Cams is that they can also condemn your driving as well...speed, positioning, courtesy, etc....not to mention the bad language I use when driving Don't think I would share mine

Help - white smoke but no loss of power
Hi Harry....welcome to the Forum I would say it sounds like coolant being induced into combustion....e.g. Head Gasket failure. You mentioned it smelt sweet, that would be the antifreeze content burning off. Check for loss of coolant, and also run a combustion leak test (fluid changes colour if combustion gas is present in the coolant) Let us know how you get on with it all Cheers, Trevor

2004 A4 Cabriolet upgrading steering wheel
I would probably recommend fitting an aftermarket head unit and remote switches for the steering wheel which will more than likely work a load better than the original audio and more updatable at a lot less cost...loads more functionality also.

Club road trip
I think its a great idea because if you are travelling the length of Great Britain, the chances are that others could piggy-back on the journey for a certain distance (even if its only for a few miles) somewhere along the route. Count me in if you are travelling through Dorset, Hampshire area

I think if I turned off locations then the Mrs would want to know why, lol

Audi A4 B7 oil usage
Worth keeping an eye on as it maybe where its all settled down but if its not leaking externally then it can only be leaking internally....e.g. into coolant or combustion which would be obvious by plumes of smoke or a radiator full of emulsified oil (like mayonaisse)

Google Timeline
Has anyone come across this before? Very awesome software provided by Google (free of charge) which shows exactly where you have been...great for road trips, not so good if you're having an affair :-( Uses your phone to plot your movements...so watch out! p.s. the crazy bit in Germany was road works without any diversion in place, had to go into Luxembourg to get around it

Noise when turning
I agree with Magnet....would put money (not real money though!) on the tyres causing the noise. Swap the fronts to the rears and see if the noise differs

Saharan dust
My friend who lived in Dubai and where obviously there was an abundance of desert sand in the air, he would always instruct the parking/valet guys not to clean his car (Lamborghini) and all he would do it use a feather duster to remove the sand without scratching the paintwork...seemed to work okay

Mark
If it were me, I would find a good independent VW / Audi specialist repairer to code it to the car and maybe ask them the best ones to use for replacement and ease of coding then take it back there when you have sourced one at the right price.

B8 tdi 143 whine after timing belt change
Hi Gav Maybe I'm looking at this wrong but I believe the tensioner may be over-slack, not over-tight...hence the reason the idler has the deposits on it. Have found this to be a common problem on VAG engines where the belt is too loose and it 'glides' over the top of the idler pulley rather than turning it. This then leads to overheating of the belt and then complete failure. Or the debris could be there from previously and they didn't replace the roller.

DUNLOP MAXX GT Tyres - splitting
Wow, they are pretty severe splits, not just the usual perishing. Only time I have seen anything like this is on Pirelli's (P4 range if I remember right) and the tread area would completely delaminate from the carcass. Good luck with your case with Dunlop, who are being foolish if they think they can brush this type of defect under the carpet...especially if they standard fit for Audi

RS4 B7 inlet manifold needed.....
Hi Tom....welcome to the Forum Sorry to hear you're having problems so soon after buying it. Have you considered removing them completely? Works for BMW especially as they ingest the valves and destroy the engine. Not entirely sure how much of an effect it would have on the Audi's performance but it is quite negligible on the Beemer, even then a remap could enhance the deletion quite nicely? Keep us updated on the progress Cheers, Trevor

Coventry Transport Museum meet up
I visited there a few years ago after going to the Jaguar factory at Leamington and found it to be an incredibly interesting museum, made even better by the fact it was free to enter. I believe they allow car clubs to park outside on the front if you arrange in advance with them.
