Apologies I'd missed that you've already contacted the dealer. Funnily enough I've been discussing a similar situation regarding modern car electronics failing and not being replaceable. The manufacturers enjoy building in obsolescence. I'm wondering if the cheapest option for you is to fit an aftermarket head unit with android auto etc.

Think you'll need the identical one so you don't run into issues with coding. This is the issue I've got with my old c5.

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Or definitely speak to Audi to see if they have in fact stopped the update.

Not started Steve. Bar that one engine rebuilder no one else has been willing to touch it. I did consider fitting a second hand engine with different engine code with matching injection pump but finding a garage who's knowledgeable on coding it all in is proving difficult. It's like no one has a clue.

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Or get an auto electrican to take a look as it could be a broken wire, or a failed door module -
It shouldn't be creaking I'd be taking it to the dealer.

You could buy mesh from Halfords or similar and attach it on the back of the current grill if that makes sense.
