  1. Bilstein shocks are supposed to be good. Ive got kyb on the rear of my old a6.
  2. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  3. Sorry to hear of your situation. The only thing I can think of us changing to an android auto etc touch screen
  4. That's worth noting. Thanks for the info 🙂
  5. You need to be speaking to the person who did the remap has first port of call. Then get a diagnostic check to see what fault codes flag up
  6. Keep us posted on how you get on
  7. In my case I'm chasing a lead on a replacement engine and going on Monday to see the donor car, owner and workshop where the engine will be transplanted. All being well of course! I hope, pray and fingers crossed it's all good so I can get my A6 back on the road
  8. No probs at all. Please keep us posted on how you get on
  9. Yep could be the cam sensor. Did you change the lambda sensor when it threw up a code?
  10. Apologies, I've just re-read your post, should have read it properly the first time 🤦‍♂️ If it's just first gear could it be a linkage? My wife has this similar issue on her Corsa many years ago. Engine wise, plans are afoot to get it back in the road. Early days yet but watch this space 😉
  11. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 stunning looking car 👍
  12. I'm in Leicestershire
  13. It sounds like clutch to me.
  14. Do t get me started. Been trying to find something similar for my a6 with no success. No garages want to do an engine swap. If you can't find the exact engine code like I couldn't then you might need the matching ECU, cluster and injection pump with the doner. This is what I need In my case.
  15. That's great work, has it stopped water getting in?
  16. I agree it's a lot. I'd recommend you get a quote from an independent garage
  17. In the old days if maf was at fault more often than not the engine would run better so I'd cancel.tgst out. Not sure where the can sensor is located. Could it also be a lambda sensor? I'd also advise Changing the spark plugs and ht leads.
  18. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 lovely looking colour 👍
  19. ULEZ I know there's probably a lot of members worried about ULEZ from the 29th August. Here's the information from Audi: https://www.audi.co.uk/uk/web/en/assistance/imports-and-exports.html More importantly here's the email address: [email protected] I've emailed but waiting on a response. Will keep you all posted on how I get on. I appreciate my A6 most likely won't meet the limit however, I've done it as an experiment to help fellow members. Please note that any certificate of conformity if FREE from manufacturers.
  20. Any fault codes? Could it be a cam sensor? Maf sensor?
  21. I'd recommend you look for second hand ones on eBay from uk only.
  22. Is it worth you checking the maf, lambda sensor and coil packs/spark plugs first.
  23. Thought the only Audi that got a fridge option is the a8? Think other models for an air conditioned glovebox as an option
