Problems refilling adblue tank
Common problem on vag cars is that the sensor doesn't reset. You'll need to get a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Quite a lot of threads in tis already.

A useless heap of junk due to lack of spare parts avalible
I looked at this, a good mechanical engine that can run on veg oil etc is the land rover 200tdi. The problem with Audi's is that they're fwd longitudinal and finding similar modern drivetrains is hard to come by. As most fwd vehicles are transverse. The annoying thing with cars now is that they're deliberately over engineered so they can't be repaired by a home mechanic.

Imobilisers
Exactly. I had to translate it in Google and it's had a full refresh. I've asked if they ship to the UK. Not heard back yet but it's the weekend. To show the comparison in price, they have a used aym versions with 87k miles and its โฌ300 less.

Audi A3 2024. Seating issue.
There's been a lot of cars not receiving the kit they should have had. Have you spoke to the supplying dealer about this? As it's been not sold as stated.

Imobilisers
Thanks Steve, think I'm looking at the last of the line bau version. I've found this refurbished one in Germany, and I've messaged them with a few questions regarding the turbo etc. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325748688740?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=e8AMuhJ3R76&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=IE07kO4STZy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=WHATS_APP

A useless heap of junk due to lack of spare parts avalible
I feel your pain, as it's the same situation with Audi's from the 90s/noughties like my A6. I agree it's due to the wef agenda. Eu looking at banning garages from doing major repairs to old cars like engine changes/rebuilds etc so they can get them off the road. I need a replacement engine in my A6 and think I've finally found a way to get another one fitted. But long term the only way old cars will remain in the road is to use engines etc from cars with huge parts supplies like Chevy ls motors for example.

Any fault codes?

Audi Q8 fault codes
I'd recommend seeing if it needs a software update and speak to Audi.

A8 3.7 Quattro
Speaking from someone owning a similar aged A6 it's electrical gremlins and issues with imobilisers. My engine has gone bang, and trying to get the car back on the road is proving a nightmare. Engines and engine parts are getting in short supply etc.

Nope they won't be compatible due to widths of the car.

Imobilisers
Thanks Steve. It's just so confusing when those on A6 C5 Facebook groups give mixed information. I did find this engine which I'm debating to take a pint on. It turns freely but has no history. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/386915243941?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=iasddtvhsyq&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=IE07kO4STZy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=WHATS_APP If this is a genuine option then I wonder where a later bau or Ake engine (both 180bhp) would be a better option as they'll be detuned due to my ECU.

Imobilisers
Hello all, my mechanic believes that if I keep my ECU and injectors and put it in a 2.5tdi that has different engine code then the car should work fine as the imobiliser/ECU will think it's the old engine. I know the Ake and bau are different heads but would the 150bhp and 163bhp engines have the similar design to aym. As such would this work just adding my ECU and injectors to the different engine code. Then I wouldn't needs to code the pump ect. Would it also work for bau or Ake even though heads are different? Just want full clarity before I buy any engine as I'm still under the impression the injection pump, instrument cluster and ECU have to match. I'm tearing my hair out now as I just want the A6 back running so any help will be appreciated.

2015 a6 facelift, changing electric lumbar to full electric.
I'd recommend you speak to autologics or Audi retrofits. You'll need it coding.
