  1. I thought so but thought I'd check :) It sounds like there is a fault and you've done wise to hook it in with an auto electrician. Vag com won't help in this case due to there being a fault. You could also get a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up. Cheers Steve
  2. The badges look great Kris! Top work :)
  3. Welcome to the forum, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I'm assuming you are all wearing your seatbelts? But... If you want to turn off the seat belt binger then I believe you'll need to used vag com or similar to turn it off. Cheers Steve
  4. Welcome to the forum, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The a8 d3 is a lovely car and I'm jelious :) Having the diagnostic equipment is a good start and worth doing a general scan just to see what fault codes flag up. My other advice would be to get an auto electrician to have a look as I suspect it's something straight forward. Cheers Steve
  5. Yea, I've just read that the parts aren't arriving until June! Not good really.
  6. Hi Radek, I've had a look on line and YouTube but have had no success finding a guide to remove the column. My advice would be to get a Bentley workshop guide for the c6. They're expensive workshop manuals but seem good. Cheers Steve
  7. Hi Jim, I believe the c7 is being recalled as the pump has a risk of fire if it becomes blocked or has a short circuit. Here's the link to the NHTSA: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls?nhtsaId=18V229#recalls370 From the sources I've read the necessary replacement parts aren't available until June so the letter you've received is to inform you. You'll get another nletter to let you know when the part is available and for you to book your car in for the recall. Cheers Steve
  8. Welcome to the forum Dan, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) There's not much you can do with the first problem I'm affraid other than keep adjusting the seat and wheel settings to get the best position. In terms of the second problem it could be a gear linkage but I would just be guessing. My advice would be to speak to the garage where you bought the a3 and for them to have a look. My dad had an 8v 6 speed manual and I never recall of him or I having this issue when we drove it. Cheers Steve
  9. Welcome to the forum Ian, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) There are only 3 possiblities here: 1. Bulb blown and you require a new one. 2. Loose wire which has stopped it from working 3. The light unit has failed. My advice would be to check the bulb first and I'd that's working then try and trace the wiring. However I have had a light unit fail on my a6 before. Cheers Steve

  15. Usually you'll find the dealers aren't even told the info. But I do feel they should tell you and if they don't I wonder whether you can reject the cars. Cheers Steve
  16. Yet another Audi owned by Princess Diana has come up for sale. The green Audi convertible failed to sell last year at auction despite being valued between £60,000-£80,000 and is now for sale at £62,000. This is alot more expensive compared to another Audi convertible I need by the princess which sold recently for £24,000. Here's the link for more info: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5677977/amp/Princess-Dianas-convertible-Audi-auctioned-cut-price-62-000.html Cheers Steve
  17. Oo ok, well I can't say I've heard of this before. 400 is a big number and all I can think is that they've found that batch of cars contaminated by a faulty component or similar. Have they said if all the Audi's are the same model/engine and gearbox?
  18. You're welcome :) Ah good point and I'm guessing it's fairly a standard a3 with no options selected by you. I'd suspect 2 months approx. Cheers Steve
  19. Welcome to the forum Marc, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) What does it say in the build tracker? Usually it can be a couple of months but certain extras can delay the build such as sunroofs or special paint. Cheers Steve
