  1. I agree it can be tricky. Have a look at this thread I did with a link to help acquire part numbers: Hope it's useful :) Cheers Steve
  2. Don't worry James, I didn't take offense at all :) glad you managed to get a good result. Are you planning on buying another Audi? Cheers Steve
  3. Looks a very nice a4 :) let me know when you've had a chance to check the tyres etc. Is the a4 handling normally? Cheers Steve
  4. Welcome to the forum Jamie, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I would imagine the length of DRL depends on the spec of your Q7. I'll Hazzard a guess and say it's a S Line model? Cheers Steve
  5. It's a odd one, but we're stripes used to help make the cars look clearer on early TV?
  6. Right, I have applied for a club display for this year's show. I'll let you all know once I have had confirmation back from the organisers. Once our application has been accepted our club name will be displayed for you to select from when buying tickets. I hope that makes sense. Cheers Steve
  7. Oh sorry, I missed that boy in your post. Yea it definitely will be a solution :) in terms of where to wire it into, is it worth splicing into the wiring for the light switch? I'm not great with wiring I'm affraid. When people are wiring in dash came they piggyback off the cigarette lighter wiring. Cheers Steve
  8. Welcome to the forum Pasindu, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Here are a couple of YouTube videos which may help: Cheers Steve
  9. Welcome to the forum Lee, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) sorry this topic hasn't been responded to yet. I would have thought the a4 has a warning buzzer. I know my 2002 a6 does. It might be worth you getting this checked before investing in this universal kit. Cheers Steve
  10. They are very expressive Pat and to be honest S Line model is nice. Obviously certain options may have been chosen from.the ultra spec sheet on.certain s line models :) this is the fun of buying a German car as it can be individualised. Cheers Steve
  11. Welcome to the forum Mike, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) You are correct in saying the service history is now digital and the service history should be able to be provided by any Audi main dealer. This includes any warranty work or recall work that has been carried out. They may not provide you with exact details over the phone due to data protection.but they should be able to tell you if it's got full history and whether or not certain recalls have been carried out, such as the emissions recall. Cheers Steve
  12. You're welcome, sorry your touch hasn't been responded too earlier. Diesel definitely sounds more suitable to be honest. Yea, keep us posted :) I'd love to see pictures if the exhaust system fitted :) Cheers Steve
  13. Welcome to the forum Sean, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Yes it's possible, you'll need: Headlights Bumper Bonnet Front wings cheers Steve
  14. Well with the autos make sure the gears changes are smooth both in manual and auto modes. And it's worth.checking the service history to see when the gearbox oil was last changed. Some of the a5 models had quattro and this is a great system but make sure it is working correctly. The system can be sensitive and can be damaged by things such as mis-matched tyres on the same axle or uneven tyre wear. Also check the service history to see when thebquattro system.last had an oil change. Also xenon headlights were an extra and it's worth making sure all the lights work as bulbs can be £180 each approx. Also there is currently a recall on certain a5 models due to a fire risk caused by the heating system. It's worth checking to see if this recall has been carried out. However you may find alot of a5 models are still waiting to be called for this recall. Cheers Steve
  15. Welcome to the forum Martin, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The exhaust will definitely have a better exhaust note and could increase bhp very slightly. If you were to combine the exhaust with a remap then you'd get better results. Ive heard Milltek are a good brand but can't say I've used their products myself. In terms of engines your best deciding which fuel suits you. Obviously if your doing 5-10 miles a day then diesel is no good so petrol would be better. But if you were doing 24+k miles a year then diesel would be the way to go. Cheers Steve
