  1. Welcome to the forum, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch ๐Ÿ™‚ What year roughly are you looking for band are you looking for petrol or diesel? Manual or automatic? Cheers Steve
  2. Yea they'll be fully aware. My advice would be to try and look on eBay for one but as it's such a new car you might struggle to find a used one. I wonder if the jack is just for the q5 or if they fit it to other Audi's. Definitely worth asking direct 4x4 but if they're fitting them then youll be fully covered. You could Hask them what the fitting process is. Cheers Steve
  3. You're welcome ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Hi Peter, that price is obscene. I wonder could you not get the new Audi jack designed for sidesteps when getting the direct 4x4 ones? Can't see them affecting the air suspension in anyway to be honest. But you should bask direct 4x4 to be on the safe side. Bare in mind you have to declare sidesteps to insurance companies bad a modification now. Cheers Steve
  6. Think you'd have to get one with the same part number. I suspect any good auto electrician could code it for you. Glad you've sorted nthe leak. Cheers Steve
  7. You've done well to drive this for over a year without issue. I wonder if the locking mechanism has failed on the passenger side. I'd be getting bit liked at by a garage asap as youll be putting extra strain on the driverside clamp. Cheers Steve
  8. That's interesting, first Q7 I've heard of the issue. I'd be getting it to Audi in my opinion. Cheers Steve
  9. I'd replace it with a good second hand one as I suspect a new one will be a fortune from Audi. Obviously make sure the water issues have Ben resolved too. Cheers Steve
  10. You're welcome ๐Ÿ™‚ what did you make of the article? Cheers Steve
  11. Welcome to the forum Peter, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch ๐Ÿ™‚ Nice vehicle history and current vehicle line up. Bet the mx5 is great for this hot weather ๐Ÿ‘ Cheers Steve
  12. I'd be trying a second hand unit before buying a new one as I'm sure Audi wouldn't diagnose it incorrectly.
  13. I think it's clipped in if I remember correctly. Bit you have to be careful when removing it as the clips can get broken easily.
  14. Yea I'd get it to a garage to get a diagnostic check carried out.
  15. Sorry to hear that.

  20. I do appreciate it's a hard decision. From personal experience of spending a lot of money on old cars I always we t off the philosophy better the devil you know if it's been reliable up till now. The problem you'll have is either scrap, sell or repair the vehicle and you'll have to weigh up which the most financially viable option is for you. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
