  1. You're welcome 🙂
  2. You'd be better respraying to get rid of stonechips. But unfortunately they are a fact of life and are inevitable. If it were me I'd save my money. Cheers Steve
  3. Sorry you're leaving Sue but glad you got a good deal on your a6. All the best 🙂 Steve
  4. LMAO! I can't really guess it! 😂 And I wasn't far off with my cross between Jason Statham and Donald trump lol
  5. Hi John, I believe water traps are common on other Audi models from.this area. Am I right in thinking the battery is in the same area along the bulkhead? If so you may find a drain plug there. Also if water is to fill up then you may find wet carpets in the front footwells. This definitely applies to the c5 a6. I have seen c5 owners make custom covers for the area not covered by the plastic cover (if that makes sense?). Out of aluminum or similar. Cheers Steve
  6. Hi Ruben, I'm not surprised you're excited! Paint protection can't protect the paint from a stone hitting a car at speed. It'll probably help reduce the damage but it can't stop stonechips etc. Cheers Steve
  7. Welcome to the forum Christopher, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Despite this does the roof move as it should? cheers Steve
  8. They could have knocked something but I'd be very unlikely to admit it. You should see if they'll do a diagnostic check for free to see what fault codes flag up but good luck and let us know how you get on. Cheers Steve
  9. If they are insistant on fitting a second hand engine make sure that they have service history to back.up the engine. I'd keep trying for a new engine but it will.be a long shot!
  10. Welcome to the forum Tom, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 heres a YouTube video which may help: cheers Steve
  11. Sounds like a cross between Jason Statham in transporter and Donald Trump!
  12. Hi George, what has the dealer said is exactly wrong with the engine? What fault codes came up etc. And was it a main dealer or a private garage? Cheers Steve
  13. Welcome to the forum Alex, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 cheers Steve

Ah right. I think the info I had applied to the 3.0tdi 🙂
  15. Good find there Piotr, I've pinned it so it'll show at the top of the c6 page 🙂 cheers Steve

I think it's 2008 onwards if I'm not mistaken, but I agree with Piotr with checking your build sticker which you should find in the spare wheel well. Cheers Steve
  18. Hi Ryan, When you say you intend to fit lowering springs are you intending to fit matching shocks? I mean depending on the spec of your a3 you could always fit s line suspension which will.lower the car and firm up the ride without compromising the factory quality. Eibach and h&r get good reviews but can't say I've ever used them. Cheers Steve
  19. Sounds similar to me, my dad bought the a6 new and he gave it to me when he got a company car approx 3 years ago. The mg sounds like a good purchase 🙂 I do hope you find a buyer. cheers Steve
  20. Aww that's a shame! But yeah pistonheads is a good bet 🙂 goid luck with the sale 🙂 cheers Steve
  21. Like you Scott I'm.not a fan of budget tyres, people forget that the tyres are a key component to keeping a car on the road and bit just an inconvenience for MOT time etc. I wonder if the poor owner had bought the car not knowing what tyres it had on. You'd be surprised how often people don't check the tyre manufacturer but ask about tread. It's quite common for dealers to put budget tyres on cars and I've known main dealers to do the same! Cheers Steve
