  1. Result. I'm wondering if the password from last year is the same for this year? I'm checking to see what it was now.
  2. Welcome to the forum Paul, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 have you checked the linkages? Or had a garage have a look at your gearbox? think you'll need a DRW gearbox on my opinion. cheers Steve
  3. Welcome to the forum Bill, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 With regard to serving it depends on what engine you have. But on a lot of Audi's it's 2 years/20k or 1 year 10k depending on which plan the car left with. I suspect yours is on.the one year plan and I think you could be right about the countdown starting once the car left the factory. my advice would be to ring round the local Audi dealers to see which is cheapest and you may find that one of them may have an offer on for oil changes. Your other option is to take it to a local garage or Audi specialist and as long as they use genuine Audi parts and oil for the service, your warranty will still be valid. cheers Steve
  4. Now if I recall misting on shocks is fine, but you'll need to replace them once they start leaking. They can be Misty for a very long time before they start to leak and it's not an MOT failure for them to be Misty (I think, was the case on the old rules). However, it might be worth you checking with the new MOT rules that came into force last May as this could be classed as a fail now, but I doubt it. Other members my correct me on this if I'm wrong. Now correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't your a5 have a brake pad warning light? I know my much older a6 does and it's at that point the brake pads need changing. Cheers Steve
  5. You're welcome 🙂 as you've tried another a4 my theory is that the two systems aren't designed to work together for some strange reason. have you spoke to Audi about this?
  6. Wow, it certainly sounds a bicer motor! Does amaze me how Austin still has a connection to people long after the brand is gone. The first ever car my family owned was a second hand 1930s Austin 10 chrome grill (1932-1934 model) in black, purchased in approx 1954. My grandad bought it from a scrapyard and did it up to some degree. Used it a number of years then scrapped it himself.
  7. They're lovely motors and the avant is so practical 🙂
  8. It's a tricky question if no one has seen the part before. Especially something bso small it would be easily missed by most. I wonder if it's a gromet holding the bonnet insulation in place? Or a gromet to fit somewhere near the bulkhead? My suspicion is that there will be lots of them somewhere in the engine bay, like the bulkhead area etc.
  9. Welcome to the forum Simon, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 do you know if your power steering is elecric or hydraulic? This should be in the manual. If it's electric I'm wondering if it's worth getting the battery tested as a lot if electrical issue ls can be traced back to a failing battery. If it's hydraulic, have you checked the fluid level? A leak would obviously affect nthe steering. if it's not that, have you hit anything recently? Pot hole, animal etc which could have knocked out the tracking or bent a track rod etc? cheers Steve
  10. Hi Andy, I suspect the q5 would need to go in for the day but apart from recoding I don't think Audi would want to do much. I would definitely get them to check the wireless cradle though, as it should work every time in my opinion. Cheers Steve
  11. Welcome to the forum Jack, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 my key question is where did you get your car serviced and who told you you need new shocks and brakes? audi do offer a free health check if you're not convinced on what your garage has said. cheers Steve
  12. Supras are lovely! And to be fair the 535d is one of the quicker diesel out there. The s4 will be nice as the quattro will be ideal for your scotish winters 🙂 Don't be put off by the auto as it isn't a bad gearbox 🙂 cheers Steve
  13. True, but it sounds to me like it's not attached sufficiently. I would have thought it just screws in place so in order for the bulb to be replaced easily. If not then I wonder if it's clipped in place and maybe a clip is broken, hence the rattle? Cheers Steve
  14. Glad you got sorted 🙂 and I do t blame you for not wanting to go back to that dealer! Cheers Steve
  15. Welcome to the forum Mo, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 My first port of call would be to see if there's a loose wire and you may need to remove the armrest or parts of the centre console to see this. cheers Steve
  16. Welcome to the forum William, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 my advice would be to get a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up. cheers Steve
  17. Welcome to the forum Jason, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 i believe the racks are the same but are you sure it's not just the pump that's failed and leaking? cheers Steve
  18. Hi Ian, sorry to hear of your issue. I'm sure there have been reports of antenna failure which could be the issue. Cheers Steve
  19. Welcome to the forum Ryan, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 my advice would be to look for a custom exhaust supplier, there should be a few in Birmingham I suspect. They can build the system you want and will fit it etc. cheers Steve
  20. Welcome to the forum Paul, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 as Audi have admitted it's a known fault what are they going to do to rectify it? is there a recall I wonder? cheers Steve
  21. Still not heard anything back from the organisers yet unfortunately. But when I do I'll let you all know 🙂

    Build Dates

Welcome to the forum Gavin, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 i think 4 weeks or under is optimistic but the build date will partly depend on what extras you ordered. For example you'll wait longer if you ordered special paint or a sunroof for example. But either way I think you'll be waiting 6-8 weeks at least. have Audi not given you the build tracker so you can follow it's progress? cheers Steve
  23. Sorry to hear this Filip, let's hope they don't send you a letter but.they do have the right to obtain your details from.DVLA I believe. Sorry I can't help you more. Would love to read about your trip in Germany if you get a chance. Cheers Steve
  24. You're welcome 🙂
  25. Such great cars Pete! And I'm not surprised you regret selling it. We've had a few Ford escort of various models through the years, unfortunately non of them RS models though!
