  2. Welcome to the forum Zane, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 what kit car are you building? I do love kit cars 🙂 truthfully id go the Ford option as parts will cheaper. cheers Steve
  3. Welcome to the forum, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 the clusters should be the same and the engine doesn't affect the lights 🙂 cheers Steve
  4. Welcome to the forum Ryan, you'll find the members on here are friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 in some ways I'd say yes it could be those components but I'm wondering if it could just be a sensor of some sort. cheers Steve
  5. Welcome to the forum Tom, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 youll.need to budget about £900 for the job. You can by reconditioned genuine units or buy a new genuine one. I.say this as the aftermarket ones can be hit or miss. What ever you buy, try and get one with a decent warranty. cheers Steve
  6. Welcome to the forum Sam, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 glad you're pleased with your a4 🙂 cheers Steve
  7. That's not bad! To be fair.id dread to think how it would have turned.out.if I'd done it! Cheers Steve
  8. That was my thought too Paul! For me the clever bit about this boat is the use of the soft top. Let's face it, you don't see many sports boats with a roof that can be pulled up in case it rains. Think boars such as those from Fletcher could benefit from a convertible roof in similar design to a car convertible roof. Cheers Steve
  9. That looks brilliant Paul! Can't believe it was only £17! Cheers Steve
  10. Welcome to the forum Bryan, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 my advice would be to get an auto electrician to have a look as I'm unsure if a diagnostic check would throw up any fault codes. does it do it on every drive? cheers Steve
  11. If it's go warranty then it's worth taking it back to the dealer even if it is a pain. Cheers Steve
  12. Welcome to the forum Cal, you'll find the members on here are friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 its a very lovely looking a5 🙂 in terms of additions in wonder whether it's got some form of body kit already. I.e front splitter and sideskirts. The mods that you have planned sounds good 🙂 cheers Steve
  13. Welcome to the forum Damian, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 id recommend be a diagnostic check to see what fault codes flag up or get an auto electrician to have a look as it could be anything from.the locking mechanism through to the central locking module. cheers Steve
  14. Glad you're not fitting dunlops Mike and hope the Continentals are better 🙂 definitely bank the cheque first before responding to them 😉 but it is bad form they've not even signed the letter. cheers Steve
  15. Glad you got the egr sorted Alex. They seem to be a common problem on modern VAG cars. Cheers Steve
  16. Welcome to the forum Dan, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 nice looking a3 you have there 🙂 youd be better.off fitting brighter bulbs rather than headlights as you'll be looking at fitting Xenon headlights which are not a straight swap. cheers Steve
  17. Here is a new one! A boat yard in the Netherlands called autoboot has built a boat around an Audi A4 convertible. Here is the link for more info: http://www.boatmaginternational.com/9176-audi-a4-convertible-turned-into-cruising-boat/ https://www.autoboot.eu I think it looks good but too expensive in my opinion. Cheers Steve
  18. You're welcome Scott, glad I could help (kind of) and I do hope you get the answers you want 🙂 please keep us posted 🙂 cheers Steve
  19. Glad you've had a response Mike and glad they have offered you a decent discount on new tyres. My question is the discount on Dunlop tyres or any brand? Would you really want to put dunlops on the a7 again?! Also they have acknowledged that there is a problem in light of giving you the discount, however it is still concerning they haven't acknowledged the risk they put you, your family and other a7 owners has you rightly pointed out. Is it worth writing back, thanking bthem for the discount but also mentioning the safety risk to see what kind of response you get? Cheers Steve
  20. Hi Paul is it both rear windows or just one? My first advice would be to use your spare key to see if it does it with that. Then hopefully you can narrow down if it's the key or the car. Cheers Steve
  21. The interior looks lovely and I know what you mean about the bushed allumium. I think the Walnut trim sets the interior off nicely and blebds it all together 🙂
  22. Hi Liam, I'd take it back to the garage to see what fault they find. Even though it feels like the clutch system it maybe the engine in which case you're covered. Cheers Steve
  23. You're welcome 🙂 well the car is 10 years old so it's done below average mileage. Most cars cover 12k a year so this a4 is below average. its good that it's got full service history as this is a must in my opinion. the price should reflect what spec and extras it has. The seller will also affect the price. I dealers charge more than private sales.
  24. Oh I hate predictive text!! At least it just said dog and not anything worse! You have a good point about the power steering Gareth. I'm not sure if it's hydraulic or electric. But if it is electric then the battery should be the first thing to check. Would you agree? Cheers Steve
  25. Welcome to the forum Yas, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Here's a YouTube video which may help: i personally wouldn't sacrifice 10k miles for 2 options as i do 25k miles a year. Cheers Steve
