  1. It's definitely not the norm for the brand but it shows you can't be too careful even with a main dealer! I'd be looking at other allroads if it were me. Serving is key in my book. That's how my a,6 has covered 328k on the original engine and gearbox which have never been rebuilt. Keep us posted on your search :) Cheers Steve
  2. Yep, the a3 3 door is being discontinued. The info was released in august. Here is the thread I posted in the news section: Cheers Steve
  3. Hey Edd, I'd say if you.havent noticed any change in it's noise then I wouldn't worry about it. At the end of the day, you as the owner and driver are best placed to know the little noises your a6 makes. They've probably told you about it to cover themselves if you see what I mean. Cheers Steve :)
  4. Welcome to the forum, servicing for vag cars is 20k or 2 years which ever comes first, as they use long life oil I believe. Therefore it has missed a service by 6 months and 1000 miles. As a general rule this should be ok but I have to agree and question whether it fits into Audi approved used criteria. It sounds to me like it was an ex lease car or company car, or something like that. What did the dealer say when you point it out? Cheers Steve
  5. Fair comment. I do hope you manage to source a s line one soon!
  6. Sorry to hear of your disaster Paul. Let's hope the supplier can send you an s line bumper. But it won't be before Christmas I bet!!
  7. Hmm, now there's a question. I'd take Audi's word for it as it's harder to prove but I'd still say there is something wrong with your a5. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  8. Hey Lennox, not sure where the best place would be for you to get a glove box but if it's any help your owners manual will help you identify what interior colour code you have on the front page. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  9. Welcome to the forum Amar, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) You are correct in saying 25mpg isn't right! I get more out of my 02 plate a6 2.5tdi v6 diesel! My key question you need to ask is whether or not your a5 has had the emissions update as per the vw emissions scandal. I bet it has and this us believed to affect fuel economy. Audi/Volkswagen deny this of course. But have a look under the recalls section with regard to the emissions update. You'll find various bits of useful info there. Sorry I can't help more and sorry the diagnostic check didn't throw any faults up. Cheers Steve
  10. Welcome to the forum Sunni, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) It might be worth you having a look at direct4x4.co.uk to see what they have. They cater for all sorts of 4x4 but I've never had personal experience from them. Cheers Steve

Hi John welcome to the forum :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) A slave cylinder sounds a good guess to be honest, but have you had a diagnostic check carried out at all? Cheers Steve
  12. Hi Jay, often water coming into the cabin via the bulkhead is often due to trapped foliage and water not being able to escape. You've done right to check the battery area but it might be worth checking along the length of the bulkhead (where possible). Another experienced member on here (magnet/Gareth) would advise to check the roof and water channels just in case of water running in somewhere. I appreciate it's a long shot but we'll worth doing. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  13. Yea that sounds like DPF regeneration to me :) sorry to hear you had gearbox trouble, but let's hope you get no further issues :)
  14. HM Spares in leicester were breaking a c5 about a month ago. I know this because I got parts off it. The car is still listed for breaking on eBay so I'm assuming they still have it. There number is: 0116 2666660. Tell them that Steve from the Audi owners club sent you :) Cheers Steve

  18. Detroit Audi are recalling 52,000 Audi a6 and a7 models built between 25th January 2011 to 13th September 2013 due to faulty fuel lines. Please note that some affected vehicles could have been registered as late as 2014! It has been found that the fuel lines have been compromised during fitting at the factory due to a compression point fitted on the fuel lines. This made them easier to install but weakened them. This area of the fuel line can fail potentially causing a risk of a fuel leak or fire. 19. Info from Auto Express As it says, the Volkswagen, Audi Group have received 17,000 complaints regarding the emissions scandal. These complaints range from customers experiencing lower fuel economy or power after the fix, right through to failed DPF filters and EGR/EGR coolers. Volkswagen state the complaints only represent 2% of customers who have had the "fix". Out of the 17,000 complaints received only 500 (approx) are open and being investigated. Volkswagen claim to have investigated the other complaints and have concluded that they have to carry out no further action. 20. As per the title there is a meet and cruise taking place on Sunday 15th April 2018 in the peak district. This event has been organised in conjunction with Just Audi Avants and Audi allroads Europe Facebook groups. Thought I'd put it on here to see if anyone is interested in attending? Meeting place to be arranged but time will be 8:30-9:00 am for breakfast, then a cruise around the lovely peak district. I've spoken to the organisers as I'm intending to go and I'll keep you posted when I get more info :) Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/events/380856152366151/?ti=cl Cheers Steve
