  2. Thanks I had a dig in my emails and to be fair to the dealer I asked them if there was electronic adjustment as stated on website but they email back manual only So I accepted it full willing Im 2.5 years in and done 25k miles, love the car the only thing I look forward to on the next one if i hand it in is a massager seat or i may just keep it, its not healthy to be in a seat for more than 2 hours non stop anyway so it faciliates a break. Cars arent planes unfortunately, although my Mercedes with airmatik definitely feels like one over these atrocious uk roads
  3. If your gonna drive it at 70 not even your TDI will give you ideal MPG, I have the 35TDI and commute 300-600 miles a week and I get 70mpg driving at 64-66 no PHEV audi or otherwise will deliver economy booting it at 70, laws of physics wont allow it You can either drive spirited and ignore the MPG or you can drive careful and save your money- cant have it both despite what people say

  5. Will do. starting to think it may be the rack, o ring seal at the track rod end starting go. just had 4 new tyres fitted and they couldn’t adjust the tracking as the near side rod end was seized. So going to replace those and if the leak is there…. and it is just a trickle being pushed out through the impact of the wheel dropping then I will pop some Lucas power steering stop into the fluid. From looking around this is probably my the best course of action. If the leak is more serious then it will be a rack replacement by the look of it. Fingers crossed 🤞it’s a small occasional leak
  6. Most of you will know my saga. I'm now looking for a used or reconditioned 2.5tdi engine with bau engine code. Reconditioned preferable but appreciate its like rocking horse poo. Alternatively a low mileage engine which must have proof of service history. Breakers and sellers on eBay seem to think that service history doesn't matter. As they'll tell you the mileage of an engine without providing proof. Or proof of its maintenance. I've trawled eBay, and Facebook groups with no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated 👍 🙂
  7. Not sure if they're connected. I guess one way to check if it's not working properly is doing a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.
  8. I agree with the above. Don't forget to include international sellers when using eBay. I know how hard it is though looking for parts for older audis.
  9. You're welcome glad I could help and glad it'll love to fight another day 🙂 Gel free to bring it along to the shows on our club displays.
  10. The dealer told me that the faulty part is covered by a 7 year warranty which is also what others here have been told. I’ve written to the MD of Audi Uk to get clarification on what this really means, their position on whether the issue has been fixed, how subsequent failures may be dealt with, broader car warranty extension at their cost and whether newer vehicles have the same issue. I’ve not had a reply yet. I’ve said I won’t collect my car until I do - I’m in an Audi mobex loan car via enterprise so it’s costing Audi every day I have it. my own rs6 is out of the 3 years warranty but I have an extended warranty I took out, but I’m told this repair is being done under this special extended warranty for the 48v system alternator so I’d push back hard and say other owners are not being charged as this is a known issue and regardless of the age or mileage is being honoured as an Audi issue. my dealer has been superb and the car was fixed in just over a week from failure - but I’m not having it back till I hear from Audi Uk…..assume you are Uk based ??
  11. Audi routinely offer decent deals on warranties, £1k for a year is quite a lot to me but for peace of mind could be worth it, it’s really only down to how you feel & how much confidence you have in your car.
  12. Easiest way to re-fill Adblu is to use the pump at a Petrol Station, there are two different nozzle types,I prefer the shorter nozzle with the lance type handle for ease of use. I’ve had similar Adblu related experiences,in several years use I’ve re-filled tank with varying amounts ranging from 2L to 20L when light has come on/counting down. Using a new 10L container of Adblu is awkward to hold at required level while getting flow rate correct. Try the pump, you’ll not regret it,plus works out cheaper per litre for me
  13. I agree with Gareth it should lock.
  14. Yea my colleague bought hee new it was a 2016 model.
  15. I'd expect 40s unless just town driving and short trips.
  16. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. When was the auto box last serviced?
  17. That's odd. If within 30 days take it back to the supplying dealer to sort as this should be done FOC
  18. I have reached out to Snapchat for support, but it seems like it is useless. A few days ago I changed my Snapchat password (I thought I was changing a password to another account) and then deactivated it. I tried to reset my password via phone/email, but it seems that it does not work, then a friend of mine referred me to a great guy that was able to recover any hacked/ deactivated or deleted account, message Yt7crackersz@ gmail .com & I.G @ Yt7crackersz To get back your compromised account, he is the only professional to resolve my account issue within some couple min..
  19. i thought it would be worth more than that ,as there's so few left
  20. Hello Anderson, Opinions will vary greatly - from spending extra on Audi pads since your labour is going to be free, to any of the ones you have mentioned, and many more. I certainly would not use Mintex based on my experience of last using them on a Rover Cabriolet with rapid wear despite new calipers. Once one of the most respected brands, but now…??? You mentioned Pagid, so I wonder if you are looking at ECP as a supplier-? I seldom use them for parts, and prefer to use Parts in Motion, and some other EBay suppliers who have given me competitive prices on quality brands, and overall great service. Worth trying P in M. I’m currently ‘experimenting’ with Brembo pads and discs on a family member’s non - Audi to good effect, so I currently favour those. Hope some of this helps. Kind regards, Gareth. p.s. Do you have a wind-back tool for the rears?
  21. Hello I wanted to add that I just added some oil because maybe enough oil had leaked to the point of metal to metal grind would start to occur. The sound stopped and I’ll be getting a oil change this weekend I’ll be back to report 🫡

  23. Yeah the Q7 has loads of codes for everything. 01577 turn off due to over temp is a common one for the pump as well as the level control system going on about lower/ upper limit exceeded etc and even a 01583 code for leak detected in system. There should be some codes stored that will be an indication of what it’s unhappy with.
  24. I'm actually having a similar issue. First I'll start off by saying its the Audi A3 2008, it's an 8p chassis and 3.2L vr6 motor. So earlier this morning my gauge was working just fine, then randomly went down. It is a pretty cold morning so I was assuming that it was just the cold temp, but I took the long and slow way home and still didn't even go up. After getting home I checked the hoses, they have flow and the hoses are hot. Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary when it comes to the engine running etc. No leaks, I checked the bottom hose where the sensor is(I think that's the sensor anyway) its still in there pretty good. Now when I started checking the gauge to see if it had any movement, I noticed when I turned the key to on the needle goes up such a small amount some wouldn't even notice, like a little spasm. But when the key is turned to off, it goes back down the 1mm if that. Not sure if this is a cluster problem or a fuse problem. Some people were saying check the plug in the engine block and Im lost for words on that cuz not a clue as to where that would be. Any help would be welcomed. Im pretty good with mechanical stuff, not so much electrical which is what I am assuming this issue would be. I believe the engine code is also CBRA if that helps.
  25. Hi they are always a pain as the water from the washer rots everything try a good soak in plusgas then use a deep socket, other than that its a new motor. Steve
