Hello Sean, Not wanting to appear unhelpful, and I’ve said this before - it doesn’t really matter who else has dodgy brakes or other issues, you have, and you need to start a process of investigating why. If you ask yourself the question:- Would Audi have marked this car with brakes which cause you concern? No, they wouldn’t. Way forward:- if it were mine, I would be getting the braking efficiency on all wheels checked at an MOT station. This might help to identify the major offenders. Mileage? Service history and record of any brake work carried out? Has it been like this since you took ownership in Nov.25? If so, have you previously reported it to the seller? Hello Nathan, Difficult! Can we take it the MH07 … was its original registration? If so, it was first registered in the Manchester area. Is that your current area of residence or not? We haven’t a clue since your profile simply show a vague U.K. To get anywhere with this, you will need to work backwards, and make enquiries from whoever you bought it from. Any paperwork receipts with the car that give you pointers? Guess you’ve checked that -? If you are in receipt of the V5 you might (in caps.) be able to trace where previous MOTs were carried out. It would be well worth ‘investing’ £9.99 on a VCheck report on the current registration. This will give you changes of ownership dates - but beware that changes of number plates is often mistaken for changes of owners. It should also tell you whether the vehicle has been through auction/s or not. Plenty to start with, so please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.

Welcome Mike, and sorry to hear of your issue. As has been said - your symptoms point to an ailing battery, but interesting that you state you have changed it ( and coded it). Sounds good, but being a back to basics guy, I would still want that battery to be checked and declared serviceable before moving on to more costly considerations. Halfords stores will do this for you, and check the alternator output - which is low by your measurements. Just a couple of questions:- Replaced battery was new? Brand? Brand of renewed alternator? Before doing anything else, check the wiring within the flexible harness section twixt A post and the door frame. This is a common point where wires fracture. Please let us know the outcome of your inspection. Fuses:- Please bear in mind that fuses blow to protect the circuit, so you will need to find that fault before fitting a new fuse. Regards, Gareth.

Hello James, The answer lies with you measuring the ground clearance you have, and passing that information on to the ferry company/ies as you seem to have done (with just one?). If there is a need to notify at the time of booking in, then expect to be at the end of the queue, or it not, subjected to frustrations from following vehicles as you delay them at boarding! It could just be me, but have you re-read the second paragraph of your first post, and attempted to correct it? Your last post, doesn’t make it any clearer where this noise is actually manifesting itself David. We are talking cars here, not bathrooms at home!

Sorry, I thought the question was clear enough. Seems they added (rubbed) grease on all rubber bushes. I suggested spraying all brushes with ATF fluid. One and the same objective.

David, Have a re-read of the second paragraph of your initial post - I guess it is written incorrectly. Initial interpretation was ‘water sloshing in the doors’. Please explain clearly where this water sloshing is actually evident, and help us by not including references to other vehicles which we now find have zero connection with your issue. Sorry, but..

I’m not a Q2 owners, so I can’t help you with experiences of similar issues, but a couple of suggestions:- Do a forum search on say, ‘water, door’ ( selecting Everywhere from the drop down menu). You may find some yes, I’ve had that or not. One question to ask yourself- Do you think VAG would have marketed this model if it had this ‘characteristic’ issue? Might be well worth taking the car to a trusted local large scale bodyshop and talking to them about it. Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.

If you find an acceptable fabric then it’s likely to be in 54 inch widths, so you would need to calculate how many individual areas you are going to accommodate within that width.
