    Sorry to.hear companies haven't responded.
  2. Seeking some advice on turbos please. Been quoted: £590 for a stock turbo. £600 for a GT2260v hybrid turbocharger. unit has been fully rebuilt and machined to accommodate larger GT22 turbine wheel and 60mm GTX style CNC cut performance billet compressor wheel. Expected power potential is 280bhp+ at 2.4bar boost max. £1340 +VAT + Shipping for MDX438 - STAGE 1 Turbo including billet aluminium compressor wheel. Rated at estimated Power Output: 250-260bhp £595 excluding vat and postage (starting at) For stage 1 Hybrid upgrade on your existing turbo based on the current turbo being in good order not requiring any additional work Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Obviously if I fit a hybrid turbo I'll be fitting other mods when the engine gets rebuilt.
  3. Looks a lovely car 🙂

    No probs
  5. I'd like to think there should be some good will from Audi as it's not a component that should fail 6 months out of warranty unless you've done galactic mileage of course. Which you haven't
  6. It isn't a cheap job.
  7. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  8. Is it a new pump or second hand one? Either way if it's not the original pump then it'll need coding. If it's anything like my older A6 the injection pump is linked in with the imobiliser so needs a professional

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. It could be a simple wiring issue or worst case scenario a faulty head unit.
  10. Q2

Q2 is just a raised up A3. Audi discontinued them along with other Audi models due to production costs. They're narrowing down the amount of product range to save the money. However this won't affect getting parts for them. And resale value should be ok.
  11. I find preventative maintenance is key with older Audi's. A lot of people do t spend the money on them as they're not seen worth it due to their age. Like you I'll never get the money back I've spent on mine.
  12. Ah right. Yea you could do
  13. The chain can stretch. You'll hear a rattle on start up. I think the change is roughly around 100-120k miles if memory serves me correctly
  14. Is this the part? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313847139283?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ojhAk5fdQZO&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=IE07kO4STZy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

You'll need a letter from Audi to confirm the year of build and spec etc to get it changed with DVLA. Very odd Audi weren't willing to get this rectified
  16. It does seem expensive, I'd recommend getting another quote. Bare in mind you can order some parts second hand
  17. True I guess. Are they any brighter than standard?.
  18. My A6 c5 2.5tdi has covered 344k on the original engine which has now unfortunately let go. It's been owned by my dad then me since new. It's been serviced as per the servicing schedule at the very least. And earlier where need be. I've always been one for over servicing and preventative maintenance. It's what keeps older Audi's on the road.

Can't say I've heard of them. Also you might be better off with a stoplock as apposed to the disc lock.
  20. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Sounds like the button unit has failed. Replacement should be easily sourced.

My friend had a ghost imobiliser on his t6 campervan and I have to say it's a very good piece of kit. Best security in my opinion
