  1. You could look at continental or Toyo
  2. Could it be the exhaust rattling on the body? Or a loose exhaust heat shield
  3. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch. Think you'll find the plastic backing is the back. Behind that there'll be foam, fabric and the frame
  4. Think westfalia is the genuine one. You could also try Witter.
  5. No probs
  6. Could definitely failed compressor.
  7. Various tuning companies out there for remaps. Make sure you pick one that has a rolling road. Celtic tuning, revi, darkside developments are some examples
  8. Could arrange something. I'm based in Leicester and fellow member I meet up is in Wolverhampton.
  9. Thanks kev. Heard the 2.7 suffers from injector a d timing chain issues. I've had a quote to rebuild my engine for ยฃ2200. But then I'd have to get a new turbo, injectors etc. This company: http://hayesengines4x4.co.uk/ Very tempted with this option but do a turbo upgrade from the 3.0TDI which can be converted to work along with upgrade (race injectors), FMIC, egr blank, aluminium rad, sports exhaust and then remap on the new engine. Think this could give best of both worlds of new engine and extra performance. I'd be adding a new clutch and dmf. Very tempted to fit a new injection pump.
  10. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad you've looked at YouTube videos. Make sure all electrical items work and gearbox has been serviced. And quattro system has been serviced. Linked to this make sure tyres are the same brand and the same tread on the the same axle if that makes sense Yep Timing chain can always be an issue but should be fine as long as car has been serviced on time.

  13. Bose is an optional extra from the factory. However some people question the quality of them.
  14. Wouldn't the boot one run off the other 2 sockets?
  15. I'm slightly confused, is this an iveco engine or has it been engine swapped? The iveco 2.5 turbo is an inline 4 and mines a v6. So will the current rad etc fit directly. Or do I need the radiator etc.
  16. Glad you got sorted
  17. You're doing the right thing being on top of the maintenance. You'd be amazed how many people cut corners on servicing
  18. The locking function is standard and common on vag cars from.the era. If you look at the pinned thread near the top of the TT section (post above yours) you'll see a thread I've done on the rear window repair ๐Ÿ‘
