  1. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  2. Thought I’d share a quick post. If anyone ever gets Error 3 on the CD interchanger of their Audi C5, it’s a 2 min fix. Take radio out Undo the 2 golden screws on the top side of the unit Lift top cover (the factory warranty void sticker will be cut as you lift the cover) You will see all the CD’s as a tower but one of the CD’s will be out of line. Gently tap the CD in line and done You’ll hear a click and a spring will bounce off and fit everything back in. Every person I asked said I need a new unit until I found an old thread online, thought I’d share this.
  3. Looks a very smart c4. I'd recommend keeping it if it's got sentimental value in my opinion.
  4. The belt is 5 years or 75k miles which ever comes first. The chain should be longer, if not for life of the engine.
  5. Nice one 👍
  6. Don't forget you can always look at getting apple air tags (I think that's what they're called) for £35 which are mini trackers. Samsung do similar ones. These are easily hidden and most thieves wouldn't be considering these compared to a normal tracker. The more expensive option which is very good is the Ghost alarm/tracker.
  7. If there's no codes then it's old fashioned diagnostics I'm afraid. What condition is the battery? If it's old it might be worth getting this checked? Spark plugs/glow plugs when we're these last changed? Is it worth getting the starter motor looked at?
  8. I'd definitely look at replacing the switch unit on the drivers door. You're right there's a lot of electronics on the drivers door but if it's anything like my c5 it's because the drivers door locking mechanism controls all the central locking.
  9. Key questions whats the service history on the car and why is the owner getting rid of it?
  10. I had the servo replaced with a new one. Best option I think for peace of mind 😊
  11. Yearly serviced. And then preventative maintenance when I notice anything minor lol.
  12. 343,700 miles on the original engine and gearbox which have never been rebuilt 🙂

    Spare wheels

I would suspect a standard Q7 space saver would fit the car. Whether it'll fit into the boot well is another matter.
  14. You're welcome 🙂 please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂 in my case the issue was so rare it took them a while to replicate the fault as 95% of the time the servo was working as it should.
  15. If you've cleared the code a d then the same code has come back then I'd be confident to say change the sensor. If it still comes on after the sensor has been changed then further diagnosis will be required
  16. I had a servo failure on my c5. Lost all brakes then when I got It recovered by AA it worked fine. No fault codes or warning lights. Had the servo replaced and all good.
  17. Good point. I'd definitely look at the sensor then. Or sensor wiring.
  18. My Audi has been owned by my Dad then me from new. As it's an old Audi there's always a list of jobs lol.
  19. Please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  20. I think it'll have to be done at an Audi dealership. Alternatively you could speak to autologics. Various members have used them for retrofits etc so could be knowledgeable on this.
  21. I don't believe so I'm afraid
