I am amazed at this and I'm glad Audi refunded you. Sorry to hear you're leaving the brand but I do admit the velar is a nice motor. Just be weary of jaguar landrovers financial situation! They have production lines closed due to financial issues.

Hi Derek,
I'm not aware that vag cars have a shut down mode if the oil is low. How low was the oil?
Was there any warning lights on the dash?

Now that is annoying! I have to say this issue has really stumped me. I think the only thing you can do is take the door card off and inspect the mechanism whilst someone turns the key. I do wonder whether some rod is jammed. That's if Audi still use rods for manual key opening. Rod is probably the wrong word or I'm completely incorrect. But it's the best guess I have.

Hi Jack, are you sure the cold air feed is fitted correctly? I ask this because if there is even a small gap allowing air in or out past the maf sensor then this could be causing byiur issue.
In failing that I'd advise byou get a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up. As a correctly fitted cold air feed that is designed bfor your Audi shouldn't cause the car to go into limp mode.

Also be cautious as I question the legality of the garage carrying out this work and also carrying out your MOT. If I were you I'd read the small print before you sign/or pay any money as I'll bet there's a clause so that any illegal work carried out doesn't come back on them.
I'm not trying to rain on your parade or be all negative but I don't won't to see you getting stung/caught out. As I say the remap isn't the issue it's the removal of the dpf that's the problem. I believe if you're caught the fine is around £1000 abd let's be honest if your car is pumping out a lot of smoke then this is a clear sign to the police or a traffic officer that something isnt quite right.

Yea the key should definitely open the door. If Audi have carried out work then you might get a discount on the repair as you should have had 12 months warranty on the work/parts I believe.

My advice would be to try eBay. Or try and find a car being broken that has Bluetooth and then take the whole kit. I suspect any a4 of a similar model year will be compatible.

Hi Chris the q7 is an amazing vehicle. Make sure everything works as parts can be very expensive this includes the suspension ride height settings etc.
Heres a YouTube video which may help:

Hi kamil, you're best bet is to fit a genuine turbo either new or reconditioned as aftermarket turbos can fail inside 18months.
If you want more bhp my advice would be to fit a standard turbo and then have the car remapped.

Welcome to the forum Joe, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
speaking to Audi might be your best bet as I know on the a3 it's a slightly different size if I recall.

Sorry I can't help more. I know you will have tried spraying wd40 etc. When you put the key in, does it turn or does it feel jammed and if you turn it, you feel like it will damage the key. If that makes sense?
