Glad you've not been charged for the megatronics replacement. Could you try to find a second hand gearbox of the same code?

Your other option is to have a remap which can blank out the adblue system.

Does sound like the steering lock has been broken.

Camera fault I suspect. Ha ebthey done a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.

Could it be an issue with the fuel filter, mad sensor or turbo?

Lol, I wish for a swap like this. But I'd just be greatful to get the Audi back on the road with a normal engine. Funnily enough, Kev has an A6 C5 with a 2.5tdi ayb 150bhp engine which could be suitable if all parts are swapped over from the donor. Hoping to view it between Christmas and New year 🙂

No probs at all. I'd definitely look at the items I've described. Ideally a more advanced scanner might show so e more codes. When you cleared the code could you drive normally? Or did it come back?

Are you replacing a genuine one with an aftermarket one?

Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 This could be an issue with the clutch pack (similar to a manual car) but you could also look to see when the gearbox oil was last changed and get that done as it can make gears smoother. Obviously you can't also rule out issues with driveshafts.

Hi Mark, on a lot of the diesels the aftermarket induction kits don't offer any benefit other than increased heat soak. Just got an upgraded panel filter from k&n or pipercross etc

The could be caused by a faulty injector, high pressure fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator or purge valve. Is the car misfiring? Have you cleared the fault and tried to start it?
