  1. You could buy mesh from Halfords or similar and attach it on the back of the current grill if that makes sense.
  2. No probs at all
  3. Had you had a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up? Have you taken it to the garage? Does it do it over a certain speed? Does it do it through the entire rev range?
  4. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Have you taken it back to the garage for them to have a look at
  5. Well, I'd advise speaking to Audi to see what service history they have on it. That'll give you some service history at least. But with no history, you'll need to do a full service including Cambelt and water pump change. You may as well change the thermostat whilst you're at that. Then do a gearbox oil change too.

Definitely worth trying eBay or breaker sites.
  7. If you've had these issues since you bought it, it sounds like the dealer is fobbing you off. Under consumer law items being sold should be working and for an acceptable amount of time. In the first 6 months the seller has to prove the fault wasn't there when sold. After 6 months the buyer has to prove it wasn't working.
  8. How long have you had the car? I'd definitely recommend you contact the warranty company

Have you had a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up? Could be an issue with the sensor, or control unit
  10. Have you checked to see if the rear lights fill with water? Have all the connections been checked for corrosion
  11. I'd recommend you contact an auto electrican who can test the electrics in situ. Then you could send any failed parts for further testing
  12. Hopefully you get sorted.

Have you looked at a company like this: https://www.ecutesting.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjww7KmBhAyEiwA5-PUSjPLDtWR1JQHKDIpopQFCikjB_yzW75buyrzF1vqZpWxAWpz40HoJBoCedwQAvD_BwE
  15. I know on older audis you could just unclip it out. I have to admit the info online is vague.
  16. Definitely look at autologics or Audi retrofits as members have used them for retrofits and been happy with the results
  17. Looks the same. I'd definitely recommend comparing it to your current part number. You're doing the right thing Looking from Europe but would recommend you look at Germany instead. Or list your part request on the breaker sites.
  18. Definitely get it back to the dealer asap. Might be worth getting it to an independent bodyshop to check to see if the body is straight
  19. No probs at all

I know how that feels. There are far less specialists for older Audi's then you think. I've been in the same situation with my older A6 c5. My advice would be to find the part number on your current ECU and try and find one with the identical part number. It will still need to be coded. I'd lok on eBay, including international sellers. This is why I've had to resort to, to get parts. Alternatively speak to Audi to see the if they have any in stock.

Also I must add you'll probably be looking £1000 for a new ECU.
  24. Don't think the door card has to come off. Does it not just unclip out of the handle?
