Rolling road definitely sensible. Key question is what condition and service history is on the engine. Don't forget you might need to consider a gearbox remap too. Celtic tuning, darkside developments or viezu.

Well the fact Audi have found a problem highlights the garage were trying to fob you off. Did Audi say what the fault was? Once diagnosed you can try and get the garage to pay for it especially as you've raised the issue within 30 days of purchase. If you get no where you could contact the motoring ombudsman. -

What's the service history on the car? How long have you had it? When was the gearbox last serviced? I'd recommend a diagnostic check. Could also be an injector, MAF or turbo issue. -
When ever I've needed cars trailered I use Shipley. It's run by the owners of eBay and it allows companies bid on your transport job whether that be a car or a sofa etc.

I'm shocked that Audi can't provide you with the information as I think they'll be the only ones who can. Might be worth speaking to Audi customer services.

I'd definitely recommend getting a proper diagnosis. As loosing coolant isn't good. What colour smoke is coming out of the exhaust, because if it's not leaking then it could be a failing head gasket. I'd definitely recommend thoroughly checking the coolant system though, it could even be the expansion tank cap seal.

Sorry to hear of your situation, is it worth considering a garage further afield? I appreciate it's a massive inconvenience but I know this is something id consider.

If within 30 days of purchase then take it back to the dealer for them to check and fix as it will be FOC. Also within 30 days period of you're not happy you can get a full refund. I'd definitely recommend a diagnostic check. -
Glad you're pleased with your c8 🙂 might be able to get the phonebox retrofitted. Autologics have been used by members with positive results

I'd recommend a diagnostic check. If the servicing is all present then I'd consider a sensor issue.

Might be worth asking for pictures from the seller so you can compare it to yours. Also ask for the part number. You might be able to make one good one from both.

Have you considered the injectors or glow plugs? On my A6 c5 I've had to change the glow plugs. But I think I'll have to change the injectors at some point.

When I had this on a ford escort many moons ago it was the stalk unit that had to be replaced. This is also a common issue on french cars. So definitely worth a check. Especially as you've changed everything else.

I believe Sach do upgraded clutches for stage 1 and 2. -
It's not the most economical as the q3 is a big car. What ever the official mpg figures are then take 10 off them.

It technically is an MOT failure if you remove dpf. Even though I can understand why youre thinking of it.
