ABS Module failure/ Traction light on
So it could be a maf sensor or oxygen sensor. If it was an abs sensor it would normally say. Might be worth looking for a second hand module before forking out for a new one As I do t think it'll be cheap

Soft top and boot playing up
Hey Ann I think there's an actuator to open the boot which can fail. Also its worth checking to see if there's anything trapped behind the rear seats or in the boot. We've seen cases on here where a shoe was stopping the roof going down.

Good history, worth checking to see if oil consumption issue is noted.

Notchy Steering
Well that would be an easier solution, cheaper too.compated to a steering rack. I'd still consider a new battery though, as you might find the car will develop other electrical gremlins. Cheers Steve

can you swap a hkg tiptronic for a hzr or other?
So annoying, I did have a look online but I too didn't find anything useful. My advice would be to speak to an Audi specialist or gearbox specialist. Sorry I can't help more

Clutch pedal high
So glad you got it sorted, and thank you for telling us how to fix it, as you say others had had similar issues abd not got back to us on how they fixed it. I'm sure your reply will help others

Number plate light out warning problem !
Have you changed the bulb recently for led ones? If so that could be the reason. In failing that it sounds like it could be a wiring issue.

MMI controls not working. Two blinking red lights
Good question. I'm sure you'll need a digit code which should come with any radio you buy. But not sure if it needs coding to the car.

Diagnostic reader
No probs. Either way a mad sensor or coil pack are easy repairs. I think a faulty could pack would cause a misfire. A mad sensor could cause it to run lumpy. On old cars that were running poorly abd the mad was suspected to be the cause, you could disconnect it, abd if the car ran better then you know the maf was failing. You could try this but I've not tried it on a modern car. The last time I tried it was on a 1993 Volvo. Cheers Steve

See if it's had the oil consumption issue fixed. The 2.0tfsi is well known for this and it's well documented online. As such service history is key, it should ideally be full. But bare in mind this doesn't guarantee the car won't have the oil consumption issue or develop it in the future. But if it has had the issue then it should be documented in there service history if it's full. Is it being sold by a dealer or private? If private why is he selling.

can you swap a hkg tiptronic for a hzr or other?
Not too sure but surely it won't be the same part number if there's slight differences between the gearboxes? My advice would be to try ebay.

Diagnostic reader
Not personally used a reader yet. But they do vary in quality and functionality. Some only let you view codes whereas some aloe you to turn off warning lights or reset functions. Whst functions did it say in the description when you bought it?
