  1. I'd definitely keep an eye on this. How many miles have you done since you bought it? Cheers Steve
  2. Welcome to the forum Tom, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I believe you need an updated disc for the satnav. These can be bought off eBay but I would not be able to recommend one. But They can be hit or miss. Obviously Audi will charge you alot for the privilege of an update. Cheers Steve
  3. Welcome to the forum Terry, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Forgive me but are you trying to change your current bulbs for leds and is this front or rear? or are you trying to fit led day time running lights? Cheers Steve
  4. Welcome to the forum Alan, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Good luck with the search :) Cheers Steve
  5. Hi Dylan, welcome to the forum :) Youll fibd the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) this sounds good. One suggestion another member had a while back is doing lands end to John o' groats. Have a look.under the events section as we have a scenic cruise happening on the 15th April :) Cheers Steve
  6. I agree with Piotr, check the valve and then check for corrosion on the rim. You've not hit any pot holes by any chance?
  7. Welcome to the forum, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Nicely modded a4 :) Cheers Steve
  8. Welcome to the forum Simon, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I can fully relate with what you're saying as my 2002 a6 does the same to me! As does my old Ford escort. Bills are expensive!! Now there are 2 ways of looking at this: 1. With your head. Is it time to get rid as it's caused too much grief. Or can you now not afford to sell in light of how money has been spent and you're now stuck with it. 2. With your heart. In my opinion if it puts a smile on your face every time you drive it then is the expense worth it. I tell you now, despite how much money my Ford escort costs me. I'd never get rid of it due to it putting a smile on my face! Hope that makes sense. It sounds like to me too many owners have neglected servicing and maintenance on the car and now you're the one putting it right. Once it's sorted you'll have a cracking car. And if you love it then I'd say persevere. I've found that expensive bills get more common the older the Audi gets. But this is the same case with any car. And I love my a6 and wouldn't part with it. Cheers Steve
  9. Hey Adam, it is true that people do look for full Audi service history and I can see how this is desirable. However from my personal experience having a car service at a private garage does not always mean that servicing has been skimped on. My a6 has been serviced at a local garage ever since it came out of warranty and has had no expense spared and is now on 328k miles on the original engine and gearbox. Cheers :) Steve
  10. As Piotr has said take it for a diagnostic check and see what fault codes flag up. I'm assuming there is adblue liquid in the tank?
  11. Sorry I can't help more Chris, I'm unfortunately not too knowledgeable on radio wiring. Cheers Steve
  12. Welcome to the forum Konrad, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Adam is spot on about his info on Audi yellows :) and like Adam, tucan yellow is my favorite Audi yellow :) Cheers Steve
  13. Here's the link to the thread Dan :) glad you can make it, I'll add you to the list :) Yea, I'd get that sorted sooner rather than later. I've got to get some spray work done on mine before the show season starts.
  14. You're welcome :) You'd be surprised on how many people have reported issues after the recall. But not all customers have egr or dpf failures some are just reporting lower mpg etc. I did have some figures from a news article that I posted on here. I'll have to look to see where I posted it. Either way I can't see the issue just going away. But you are right in saying that the individual dealer is not at fault as they are just having to clean up Audis dirty work with what Audi provides for them.
  15. Looks great Pete! Great wheels :)
  16. Hi Chris, I have this issue on my 2002 a6. I have the symphony radio with built in 6 CD changer. I have found the screen starts to fail.due to age and is not connected to the low voltage. I have found that vibration can set it off, even vibrations from the speakers! On the same token I've found if I touch the screen whilst it is red and unreadable it resets it. However I appreciate this isn't a long term solution. Think.ill have to replace the radio eventually but I know the symphony radio is £400 from audi! Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  17. Hi Ben, have you got a picture of the area that's broken. As I can't picture how it's fitted in place. Cheers Steve
  18. Welcome to the forum Jonathan, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) My best advice would be to keep an eye out for a s3 being broken for spares and acquiring the seats that way and obviously keep checking ebay. Audi will definitely want to charge you a fortune, and alot of it will be for labour. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  19. Welcome to the forum Ali, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) You've gone for one of the better specs :) but have to agree heated seats and xenons are rare. Key thing is check service history, ideally this should be full. If the car has had any oil consumption issues there should be proof in the service history of any work carried out. With regard to the s tronic gearbox, make sure the gear changes are smooth both in auto and manual modes and free of an judders as any issues can be expensive to fix. Also make sure all electronic items work as some of these can be expensive to fix. This also goes for the air con as compressors etc can be very expensive. My order advice would be for you to ask the seller if you can get an independent inspection carried out. Companies such as the AA and RAC offer this service. If the seller is reluctant or refuses then you have to wonder what they or the car has to hide. I've found this YouTube video which maybe useful :) Hope I've helped :) Cheers Steve
