  1. Don't blame you! Plus acc can be expensive to fix if it goes wrong! I'm sure the camera is around £400 if I'm not mistaken. And if it needs resetting then you have to do a 4 wheel alignment.
  2. You're welcome :) Sounds like a plan. Change the fob batteries and then check the date on the car battery to see how old it is. The average life expectancy of a battery is around 7 years so if it is older than this, then it is probably due to be changed. Please keep us posted on how you get on :) Cheers Steve
  3. You're welcome Kurt. As I say, if you have bought the a3 from a dealer then this should be your first place to turn. Cheers Steve
  4. Welcome to the forum Gerard, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The first thing I'd recommend, if you haven't do e already is change the key fob batteries. My second recommendation is having a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up. One thing it could be is the central locking module but as a way out thought, when was your battery last changed? If it's an old battery then this could be causing some of the electrical systems to play up. Has the car gone flat lately? Or have you found any other electrical oddities which could help suggest it's the battery at fault? Cheers Steve
  5. Welcome to the forum Kurt, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The first thing id recommend you do is contact the seller. I'm assuming it's a garage and as such they should be looking at it for you. You'll.need at diagnostic check carried out to see what the fault is. Did the car look accident damaged at all? On the other hand it could be as simple as a loose wire. On the previous model of a3 (8p) and some other older Audi models the passenger seat airbag wire would could loose and this would cause the airbag light to come on. This wire was situated under the passenger seat. It might be worth a look to see if any wires are loose. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  6. Lol, thanks Paul! I was skinnier believe it or not!!
  7. Sounds like a good goal :) your better than me, I have no will power lol. Love my alcohol and chocolate too much!!
  8. Thanks Trevor :) Oh.i don't bother with them. Why set myself up to fail lol 😂 What's yours?
  9. Truthfully, no. But it shouldn't be that much as it's just the wire that needs sorting, everything else with the airbag system should be fine :) Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  10. Grand job! Sounds like your a2 project is coming along nicely :) Cheers Steve
  11. This is quite a common fault. I believe the wire is for the seat airbag and over time it breaks which causes the airbag warning light to come on. Obviously this will need fixing as it is an mot failure. Cheers Steve

  15. Welcome to the forum Lauris, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) happy new year by the way :) The a4 b5 is a nice car and there are members on here who use them as daily drivers. Here's some reviews which may help: Hope they're useful :) From my personal experience of using an old Audi daily, it can get expensive when things go wrong! But my a6 has done 328k miles and is still doing atleast 2k miles a month. But I love it and wouldn't have it any other way due to the sentimental value of my a6 :) As I say maintenance is key, so any car your looking at, make sure it has good service history. This is even more important on high mileage examples. When looking at any b5 make sure all electronic items work and the air con works. If the air con is broken it could cost around £1000 to fix if it's the pump or condenser etc. Also see when the cambelt and water pump we're last changed as these can be around £500 to sort. Don't forget to listen out for any knocking noises when the engine is cold or any white smoke from the exhaust. Hope I've helped :) Cheers Steve
  16. Happy new year Paul :) I want to wish all members on here a happy, healthy and prosperous New year :)

  19. Welcome to the forum Steve, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Well 2 things are coming to my mind. Firstly, drinks or other stuff has been leaked into.the seats which have been absorbed into the seat foam. As the heater elements are on this is allowing the stains to come through due to the heat. The other thing I'm wondering is if your a3 has had any diamond bright or other interior protection applied which is reacting with the heat. I'm just guessing though and sorry I didn't help more. Cheers Steve
  20. Headlights look great, but i do believe you have to take off the bumper. Cheers Steve
  21. I've always used Bridgestone tyres are n my a6, as did my dad. He felt they were the best brand of Tyre for the a6 c5 :)
  22. Great videos and pics Dave :) glad you're getting on well with the continental winter tyres :)
