Hi there guys :) Another problem with my lovely shed :) Multitronic gearbox was working fine ish. I drove the car for a while with PRNDS flashing, when it got cold the connection with TCM seemed to fix itself temporarily (and it would drive perfectly fine until I turn the engine off). What happened tonight kind of puzzled me - after I slowed down to let a car go through, while pressing the accelerator the car shook quite wildly actually, and it felt like the gearbox was kicked into neutral. She's done it once before, but all I had to do is literally stop and shift through the gears (to Park then back to Drive) and it went off fine. This time however I managed to roll it to a bus stop, and she just lost all drive. Gearbox is locked when in Park, however Drive, Sport, Reverse and in the manual shift mode it feels like it's in neutral. When I shift it into R it gives me a little nudge (always used to do that when going into R, this time the nudge is weaker though), but she isn't moving at all back or forth. I am going to try and plug it into VAGCOM when I finish work, but in the meantime I have two questions: 1. Has anyone ever had this kind of an issue and what could it be? 2. If i was to buy another multitronic box could I sort of DIY fit it in myself on axle stands? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys, I'm kind of in a dot right now...

Hi All, Wondering if anyone has purchased the Audi Music Interface, I want to play videos the monitor but tried on SD card and not had any luck in various formats. A few youtube videos have mentioned the Audi Music Interface cable. Has anyone tried? Or know anyone that's got the cable? Thanks Hass

I thinks that updating the mmi will corrupt the mmi and have knock on effects and not allow me ever to drive the car again. and that there is no way of putting the car back because I dont have the orignal firmware disc. is this true?

Hi There I am looking to sell my 2007 (57) A6 Le Mans - which has a list of issues that I can list - but is still my daily drive today. Before I write any more though - just wanted to check if its appropriate to sell/advertise on here ? As said - it has issues - so if not appropriate to sell on here, some advice on what to do with it ? Many thanks in advance Mark

Hi there, took delivery of my new Q7 a little over one month ago, new 2018 S line, with tech pack and pan roof. I previously had from new a 2014 A6 Avant SE ultra tiptronic. Bought the Q7 on the basis of me previous Audi's reliability, practicality and comfort. Have to say was a tad overwhelmed by the Q7, it size, the gadgets, the looks etc., but now feel right at home. I've done just over 2K and averaged just over 31mpg, the A6, which the wife now has, does mid to late 40's. a bit miffed though that I am having to add "ADD BLUE" already. The A6 did nearly 8'000 miles before it's 1st warning came up?? Is this normal for the Q7 or have Audi saved money by only putting 3'500 miles worth in the tank.... Also wish it had some storage boxes in the back... Will update now and again, hope someone has some comments on the add blue... Cheers V12

Hi, Does anyone know how this guy was able to install the sweeping indicators on these tail lights. These are the same tail lights as my 2013 Audi A6.

Hi, The small panel on the front bumper below the headlight is protruding out, I've not been in an accident or anything so i assume it is due to the cold weather, anyone able to tell me how to push it back in? Thanks in advance.

Hi All. Ive recently bought a 2013 Sline A6 and i'm looking to upgrade to 20" alloys. It currently has the 19" Lemans fitted to it and i think they come up small. What Audi original wheels in 20" sizes do you have and can i see some pics for inspiration. Considering just getting a set of Black edition alloys but wouldnt mind something a bit different. Also whats the largest you can go up to regarding offset etc? Looking forward to your help. Cheers.

Hi New to this forum, thought id see if anyone else has experienced this. I must also point out a friend of mine with the same car has just complained to the dealer after 20,000 miles for the same issues. This is the letter written to the dealership below. Hope you are well, car is lovely and great for the long journeys…….. but I have been concerned about the MPG and having spoken to other Audi drivers there does seem to be a huge difference between whet is stated by Audi and what the car can get anywhere near delivering. When I looked at the specs before going ahead this is what Audi specified. EC Urban 47mpg EC Extra Urban 59mpg EC Combined 53.3mpg I have done different driving styles over long distances using Eco/comfort and Auto modes and it would be a pleasure on a 200Mile drive to get anywhere near URBAN in Eco mode but in eco mode driving like an absolute saint you can scrape 40MPG I was expecting this to be Urban and to on the longer journeys to be getting 50+ especially when driving in such a way. A simple calculation on 20,000 per year filling up at supermarkets doesn’t fill me full of glee especially when I was expecting the engine to perform better. 20,000 miles per year £1.14 per Litre achieving the current combined 38MPG = 526.31 Gallons x 4.54609 = 2392.65Litres Annual Fuel Cost £2727.62 20,000 miles per year £1.14 per Litre achieving the Audi quoted combined 53.3MPG = 375.23 Gallons x 4.54609 = 1705.84 Litres Annual Fuel Cost £1944.66 The difference could be £782.96 per year and over the three years £2348.89 I have not quoted the top efficiency ratings for the MPG and this seems horrendous. When driving the A5 this was getting very near without switching myself into saintly driving mode! I have consulted with other A6 drivers of the same engine and they inform me this model does seem to have issues with the MPG capabilities (even when run in), I am concerned the information stated by AUDI is misleading and at my cost! Additional notes; I have kept a log whilst trying trying different car settings, fuels, driving styles (from saintly to enjoying the car!) and the variation is negligible. I have noted from reading the forum that the fan going off when stopping the car for a while and high idling revs is also a thing, can anyone enlighten me about this. History...... last 3 cars 5 series's 520d - 530dM-Sport - 530d M-Sport 2nd model when driven saintly was around 500+ to a tank driven Urban 430, the last model was 500+ urban and 6-700 with distance and everyday use. On a recent journey - Shrewsbury - N. London - Peterborough - Bourne - Shrewsbury 38MPG! in the A6

Hi All, Driving a 2006 Allroad is great fun, knowing where I'm going is generally makes the experience even better. So one of my next priorities is to update the SatNav, any advise on how and where to get hold of the CDs/DVDs. Cheers Phill

Hi all, my heated steering wheel isn't very warm at all and with winter approaching I was wondering if it can be adjusted somehow - obviously there are no standard control options for it but assuming someone can use one of the swanky leads and adjust it? I asked the dealer and they said they could investigate the issue (!) and charge me by the hour for it.... errrr no thanks! Google throws up a bunch of posts - some more vague than others, some saying that it could be a faulty steering wheel or that actually its not hot just slightly warm.... compared to my Jag, Merc and other cars with heated wheels its very luke warm and cuts out really quickly... anyone else any views, thoughts or magic fixes?

Hello Advice please A6 3.0TDI S Line Le Mans New Brakes
J19 WOB posted a topic in Audi A6 (C6) Forum
Hello all I have a Audi A6 3.0TDI S Line Le Mans So far I have Upgraded - The exhaust to quad exits like the S6 and it sounds incredible. Had to buy a rear diffuser off a S6 to accommodate them. Proffesional Re Map and that made so much difference in top end acceleration and throttle response. Replaced the grill with a New RS6 grill all in glossy black including the badge. Rear window tints in limo on top of factory tints so it's completely black from the outside, looks superb. Front and back lights slightly tinted but not to much as I don't like them too black as you need them to see and reflect. All the interior lights replaced with white led which really improves the look inside much more modern. 4x Uniroyal Rainsport 3's because in my mind it's mostly raining here in England and they really are good in the wet. Wind deflectors on all windows and now I'm thinking of brakes. It doesn't stop quick enough at the moment because it's got cheap pads on. What pads are people using and if I get ceramic ones will the brake system fry under a lot of hard braking. I am going back to the Nurburgring soon and I don't want them to fade to much as they do now. Do people have vented discs and are they good? Is there much difference? Has anyone done a full upgrade all round or found a big brake kit for the C6? Thanks in advance. I have already been to the Nurburgring in this car and a few others and fried the brakes every time and had to take breaks between laps. I can't wait to go back and do it again though.lkj- 9 replies
